Different Angles

So I decided to do a different take on a taped mani:) I saw a mani like this on pinterest done in black, white, and grey's that was beautiful, seen here:) I had these colors out recreating a pinterest pedi seen here.  The pedi wasn't a total success but not a total fail either:)  So I decided to use the same colors for my Mani.  The base color I used is Sally Hansen "Hard to Get".  I followed that up with OPI "Pink of Hearts 2",  Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Golden-I" and finally Finger Paints Magnetic "Electro Midnight" (no magnet used). All followed with a generous coat of SV and ta-da:) This mani was adorable, but it did take a long time:( Waiting for each layer to dry even with SV between coats was a pain!

What do you think worth the time or a waste of time???

Water Marble... By golly I think I've got it!!!!

So for the past week I have been trying to do a water marble for Jilltastic's Weekly challenge, and I have failed miserably more times than I care to admit. But after some help from some fabulous ladies I know on FB I think I have finally got it!!!

I used Sally Hansen "Hard to Get"  as my base. Then marbled with Essie "Bikini so Teeny", "Turquoise & Caicos", and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Coral Reef".  I was very happy that this finally turned out the way it was supposed too!!!! I did get some weird water bubbles on my nails though I guess I need to blow them off better!!! Well I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!!

Tribal Accent Nail

So I was on pinterest earlier and one of my girlfriend had this nail art pinned with a comment for me to do it:) So this is for you H:)  For my main color I used Essie "Turquoise & Caicos" a beautiful teal:) This color is so much like China Glaze "For Audrey" if you own one you really don't need the other, and as a polish hoarder I say that with EXTREME prejudice.  For my Accent nail I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On" with hand painted abstract lines in Sinful Colors "Black on Black" all followed with a coat of SV.

Carolina Girls....

So this weekend I wore one of my favorite colors ever:) Carolina Blue:) aka  Essie "Bikini So Teeny":) I just love this color it is bright and fun but not pink:) Don't get me wrong I love pink!!! Hence the name Pinked Polish, just every now and then you need something bright and fun that is also on the cool side:)  I added polka dots with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On" for fun.  I also went to Sally's this weekend and picked up some polish and guess what...  SV is on SALE this month (super excited squeaky voice)!!!! I also picked up Orly Glam FX in Mermaid Tears only to get it home and realize that Jordana Glitters in Cosmic is so close that it is almost a dupe.  Orly's Glitter is holographic, while Jordana Glitters is multi color, but when you swatch them it is almost identical!!!! For some fun news I will be having a giveway posted sometime this week and once I hit 50 Followers be on the lookout for another one, I am thinking 50 shades of grey themed!!!! what do you guys want to get!!!! I want specifics!!!!

Try it on Tuesday #2 The Blues

Inside Flash
So for this episode of Try it on Tuesday I used "Into the Night" from the OPI Spiderman collection:) The pictures really do not do this color justice, it is a beautiful blue. I just got the mini collection and now I wish I had gotten the full size of this. For fun I added Chevrons in Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Celeb City". I really like this color, and now I remember why I bought it in the first place:)

Acid Wash

So tonight I tried a technique called acid washing... it is relatively straight forward, you layer your choice of colors (I used 4) then you take a brush dipped in acetone and remove the colors in splotches and layers until you get the effect you want. I really like the look of this effect and really wanna try it in all neon:)!!! So for this mani I started with a base coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear “White On”, followed by China Glaze “Pink Voltage”, and Zoya “Myrta”, and finished with Sinful Colors “Hot Spot”. Completed the look with a coat of Gelous and SV to even the dips out. I do think that the end result would have turned out better if I had waited for each layer to dry before adding the next one... Oh well there is always next time:)

What more could you want???

White Tips, Gorgeous Green and Glitter!!! What more could you ask for???? So last night I was struggling to decide what I was gonna do and a friend of mine suggested- a red polka dot mani with white tips- an idea which I love and will be doing soon!!!! But (insert SAD face) I couldn't find my favorite red (which I have now found). So I thought I would try it with green/turqouise.  I slathered on 2 coats of  Zoya "Zuza" and taped off some white tips with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On" :)  This is about the time that  inspiration struck!!! That new Jordana Glitter "Cosmic" I picked up last week would be perfect over this.  I ♥♥♥ the way this mani turned out:) but I did figure out in the process that Jordana Glitters are Topcoat HUNGRY!!! So if you use them pick up a bottle of Gelous and layer it on before your topcoat!!!! BTW once I reach 50 followers and 100 likes on FB I am gonna be having a giveaway:) I have decided theme my giveaway with either "50 shades of grey" or "The Basics of Nail Care"  Which would you guys like to see more???

Bikini so teeny:)

So yesterday I went for a nail polish haul:) I got the OPI Spiderman collection (not impressed with the formula), Two of the OPI Minnie Mouse collection and several Essie:) I am a happy Polished girl right now and My Zoya mini's will be in hopefully today too:) So for this mani I was playing with some of my new polishes and wanted to do a color block but ran out of time so I dotted it up instead:) I used Essie "Bikini So Teeny" as my base a perfect periwinkle blue:) for the Dots I use Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White on", Essie "Camera" & "Action" from the poppyrazzi collection. I really wished the Essie formula wasn't so sheer so the colors would POP more:) I have so many ideas floating around right now. Can't wait to show you guys:) Sorry about the crappy pics my camera battery died so we get stuck with phone pics for now:(

So not an Orange!!!

I have had this beauty in my stash for a while, but I am so not an orange girl. Last night I thought to my self YOLO... JK I hate that saying, I thought why not if I hate it I can always take it off!!!. Saying that I am still not an Orange Girl!!!! Even though I LOVE this color and I may do something with it for Halloween, It is not a good color for me!!!! Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Crushed" a dark almost red pearl orange. For a bonus I added glitter tips in Color Club "Gingerbread" :) Now that said I am not really a gold girl either, so it may be one color or both colors that turn me off of the mani... AHHH but on a better note gonna try something new tonight so stay tuned!!!!

Striping tape and Dotted fun:)

So I just finished this mani and I am in LOVE♥♥♥!!! I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in "Coral Reef". For the details I used silver striping tape and Essie's "Matte about You" and of course SV. Lets just hope I can keep the striping tape from snagging cause I really wanna keep this for a few days:)

Eye Opening:)

So last night I decided to try my hand at gradients... I will just say it was a eye opening experience:)  I have not given up in fact I am now determined to figure this thing out:) So here is my first attempt at gradient.  For this I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Mint Sorbet" a beautiful light green, and for the Gradient I used Color Club "Worth the Risque" a silver holo. I like the effect. I just think I need a bigger contrast in the colors:)

I gotta wear Shades!!!!

This is soooo Bright I gotta wear Shades:) This is NEON Pink is Sinful Colors "Pink" from the neon collection!!! This color is not really pink to me, more like a neon red:) The White is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On"!!!  Ooooh and a little FYI on all neon colors, use a base like white to make it pop it, because all neon's are a little sheer:)

PINK Voltage

I LOVE THIS COLOR!!! Can you tell? It just makes me smile everytime I look down:) This is China Glaze "Pink Voltage" the silver is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Celeb City"!!! The design in the top pic is done with striping tape and the bottom is done with a dotting tool!!! This color is sooo beautiful,  I really wasn't sure about it at the store but after a swatching I was hooked!!! WARNING this is a NEON and is super bright, so not for the faint of heart:) but you ladies can handle it right:)

On a DiFfEReNt Level

This mani took a great deal of time... but that was probably because it was one of my first;) the base is China Glaze "For Audrey" my fav Tiffany & Co. Blue/Turquoise!!! The tips are Sinful Colors "Black on Black" with the dots and line done in Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On".  I got so many compliments on this mani I will have to do it again:)

Quilted nails, Oh my...

This was a last minute mani and I really couldn't decide what I wanted to do... But I love the way it turned out, even though it won't last long (they never do). The base is China Glaze "Turned up Turquoise", I love this color technically it is classified as a neon but I don't really see it as neon;  it does have the same semi matte finish though. The Stamping plate I used for the quilted design is CH11 by Cheeky and I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Golden-I" this is my all time favorite Gold!!! I really like the flash of gold when I move my hands:) All followed up with a quick coat of SV and Ta-Da!!!!
