I'm Back and Zoya Wanderlust

Hi Dolls!!! So after a 2 1/2 month hiatus, I'm back:) I think every once and a while it is nice to take a break, and I have learned some important things from this break. For starters I definitely like recreating manis and putting my own twist on them. Secondly my nail art is for me, not for likes or follows or anything else and I think I forgot that somewhere along the way... and finally when you lose your voice in blogging don't try and push through take a break!  Now I don't know if I am back to stay or back for just a little while but for now I am here! Now onto the polish...

I have the Zoya Wanderlust summer 2017 Collection to show you! 12 gorgeous polishes to satisfy the wanderlust in us all!!!
First up is Scout, a shimmery moss green with a definite yellowish tone.

Arbor is a cool toned olive green cream. Perfect camo green!!!

Sawyer is a soft orange cream, like a dreamcicle.

Cora is a muted coral cream, a darker pinker version of Sawyer.

Journey is a shimmery strawberry red with a slight hint of coral orange.

Sonja is a muted dusty summer red, like a perfect summer flower.

Mandy is a shimmery berry pink,  a perfect princess pink.

Winnie is a soft watermelon pink cream, almost like a bubblegum pink that leans just slightly more red.

Byrdie is a muted fuchsia pink, a slightly darker version of  Winnie.

Esty is a bright bubblegum pink with cool undertones, great for any skin tone!

Lois is a bright violet purple, a perfect sunset purple!

and the last in this collection is River. A bright shimmery medium cobalt blue. This one is slightly darker IRL.

All swatches are 2 coats except for the shimmers. All of the shimmers are thinner than the creams and needed 3 coats to get rid of the VNL (visable nail line).  As always Zoya's formula are right on point and I had no issues with cuticle pooling or staining.  This collection is available now at www.zoya.com for $10 per color.

Zoya Charming Swatches and Review

TGIF!!! It has been one of those weeks that just seems to go on forever! So glad it is almost over and beautiful weather has been forecast for the whole weekend:) So to start your weekend off right I have the new Charming Collection from Zoya, and it is truly charming!  Six spring ready colors to brighten up your nails!

First up is Millie, this can best be described as a dewy violet shimmer:) This beauty has almost a foil type quality to it. It is packed with gold and fuchsia shimmers. It reminds me of that perfect purple/pink that happens right at sunset!

Tina is a perfect medium light amethyst purple creme! The perfect color for a tulip or any flower really!

Abby is a light lavender creme that has a gorgeous blue undertone! I love the way Abby makes my pale skin look!

Jordan is a soft blossom pink creme that I just LOVE!!!! This reminds me of one of my favorite pinks Kitridge, but this is more pastel!

Amira is described as a soft dewy blue with a micro shimmer. This is a rainy day in a bottle! Packed with silver and gold micro flakes

Rounding out this collection is Lacey, the green version of Amira! A soft dewy green that reminds me of Tiana but with a sparkle!

So with these beautiful cremes I just had to see if they watermarbled!!! And boy do they!!!

I Love this collection but I do have my favs. Can you guess what they are???  All swatches are 2 coats with a top coat! I am always impressed with the formula and super impressed with the formula on the pastels as they aren't streaky at all! These beauties are available now at www.zoya.com:)

Gradient Hearts

Hi Dolls:) Can you believe it is February already!!!! So my first few posts this month will be all about Valentines Day. For my first mani, I just had to use classic V-day colors:)  Zoya Rooney a bright bubblegum pink and Zoya Hannah a bright cherry red, seemed perfect to me!!!  I did a simple gradient on my ring and pinky fingers with some free handed hearts in white. I did a plain white creme base on my pointer and middle finger with freehand hearts in Rooney and Hannah.

Classic Colors and hearts are perfectly festive for V-day. I do think this mani was either missing something or has too much of something, I just can't seem to put my finger on it! I debated on whether or not to even post this mani because I didn't love it. But right or wrong not all mani ideas turn out the way we want them to!!!

Zoya Naturel 3

Hi Dolls:) I know have been away for a while, so a quick update on what is going on with me... Well the holidays are always hectic at my house; trying to get everything done, presents wrapped, goodies baked and a houseful of family. Right after Christmas I had surgery on my right foot and have been laid up on the couch for the past 2 weeks!!! Good news is I get my stitches out Wednesday and I have no more pain in my foot!!! I am trying to get back into my groove of painting and posting and hopefully I will get there soon!!!  But for now I have the newest transitional collection from Zoya, Naturel 3:)

*press sample*

First up is Gina, a medium chocolate brown that is just slightly dusty! Like those perfect brownies that you can't say no to, Gina is perfect but no risk of breaking that resolution to eat healthier!

Debbie, is a plum brown creme:) This is one of those colors that you think is one color until you see it in direct light and realize it is a totally different color... like those boots that are totally black in your closet but turn out to be a really dark brown as soon as you step outside!

Mary, is a medium raisin creme! This beauty is a lighter version of Debbie:) Not quite brown, but now quite plum... a perfect in-between!!!

Jill, a light mauve creme that is just slightly rosy. Jill did funny things to my skin tone and even though you can't see it in the pics, it made my hands red. Jill is very traditional and makes me think of Downton Abbey for some reason.

Cathy is described as a light pinky nude creme, and in the bottle this statement is as true as they come. However when I put Cathy on I could really see the yellow/beige undertone:( This looks awful on me and I don't mind saying so!

Tatum, is a beige nude creme. This beauty is neutral and warm and just a little lighter than nude. A great palette cleanser polish, you know that color you wear that still looks polished without being distracting!

This collection also has 3 coordinating lipsticks!!!! Maxwell is a deep plum with a slight fuchsia fleck and a matte finish! Paisley is a nice blush color that is slightly sheer with a classic cream finish.  Cameron is a slightly beige leaning nude with a classic cream finish:)
I love the idea of this whole collection! Like all neutrals, some will just not work for you and some will work perfectly!!! And now would be a great time to grab a few from this collection. Zoya is running a great promo right now, ANY 4 Lipsticks or Polishes for FREE with a $15 S&P charge or absolutely free with any $30 purchase!!!!  Like I said a great time to grab a few!!!
