Pin it Thursday Jelly Sandwich

Pin it Thursday # 2 is in full force today:)  I wanted to do something super simple as it has been a CRAZY week!!! I choose this PIN as my inspiration. A simple jelly sandwich. Now I have never done a Jelly Sandwich before (I know, where have I been) I decided to do two variations of the Jelly Sandwich Pink and Teal:)
For the Pink I used Zoya Paloma, and sandwiched in Jordana Glitters in Magenta Magic and Silver Jewel. and put once coat of Paloma on top.  I think I would have liked this more had I used 2 coats of Paloma to top it off.
For the teal version which is much like the original I used Zoya Frida as my based followed by Orly Glam FX in Mermaid Tale, followed by 1 coat of Frida and TA-DA perfection!!!!

So what did you do for Pin it Thursday???  Oh and a quick FYI;) I have a HUGE Surprise coming your way in a couple of weeks, I can't hardly wait!!!!

Oh Isn't She Beautiful!!!! I used 3 thin coats here with perfect coverage:) You could layer it over white and 2 coats would do it:)  Now I have the Original Formula, She has since revamped the formula but the new is just as Gorgeous:) This is the first indie polish that caught my eye and it is also one of the first ones I got:) I couldn't be happier!!!!

Boxer Shorts and Glitter by datyorkLOVES

Technically this is a Try it on Tuesday Post:) So let's try on Essie Boxer Shorts:) Now I just LOVE the name of this Polish, I couldn't imagine a more unlikely color for  a pair of Boxer Shorts. Anyway this polish is a perfect creme cornflower blue. This color look remarkably close to Essie Bikini so Teeny, but Bikini has a slight Shimmer and is about 2 shades lighter.
Inside Flash

Look at the Purple tone in the Sun:)

Now you know I had to add some glitter to this bad boy:) I put a quick coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust and added some pink stars and green hearts from datyorkLOVES GlitterLand

I ♥♥♥ this glitter from GlitterLand. It is soooo cute, the only complaint is that I have yet to figure out how to pickup a piece of glitter and put it on my nail with-out smudging my mani!!!!  Also this Mani lasted all of about 1 hour because I kept snagging the glitter on Stuff:(

Sparkle Aplenty

Today while browsing my local Walgreens, I saw a new display (Exciting for me cause I'm in there 3 times a week:) Revlon's Fall Runway "Limited Edition"  Sparkle Aplenty was calling to me.  I am a sucker for Glitter so I HAD to get it, plus it was on sale:)

Sparkle Aplenty is a Black Jelly with Silver and Black Hex's and small Glitters.  This polish does anything but sparkle aplenty:(  The formula on this polish is bad!!!!  It's almost like it has too much Glitter, which makes it very clumpy.  The Jelly Base is streaky(even after three coats), and without a top coat it has almost a matte finish.

I haven't given up quite yet on this polish. But I will be putting it on the shelf for a while... at least until I get the images of this clumpy mess out of my head... Do you have this Polish??? Did I just get a bad bottle???

update 8/30  After talking with several other bloggers I have determined that I probably got a bad bottle:( I have contacted Revlon and will keep you updated:)

365 Miracle Balm!!!!

Today I wanna share something super special!!!! For a couple of months now I have been hearing about this stuff called Sunny's Miracle Balm, but I wasn't quite sure what it was. Then one day I was browsing FB( like every other day) and saw a post on 365 Days of Color's Wall about her awesome Miracle balm. So I though JACKPOT now I know where to get it:)  I knew she made some awesome polish but all the other goodies I had no idea.  Check out her shop HERE:)  So I ordered a few:)
I picked up her sampler pack where you get 3 for $5.  Now I can't say enough great things about this Miracle balm, it smells yummy, conditions great, and is a true miracle for rough cuticles!!!!  As for Scents I let Sunny pick out mine execpt for Cucumber Mint, and this Girl has great taste (She has about 100 scents to choose from too).  I also got Darya a Teal green glitter ($8 full size, $4.50 for Minis).  I also might add that this is my very first Indie polish, and I couldn't be happier.
I layered 2 coats of Darya over Sinful Colors Black on Black, and isn't she gorgeous.
Here is a close up, the consistancy of the glitter in the polish is AMAZING!!! No need to move glitter around:) and check out the cuticles too, super smooth:)

I must say this will not be my last purchase from 365 Days of Color, as I just saw that she has a collection coming out inspired by my favorite Halloween Movie Hocus Pocus!!!!

My First Ever Pin It Thursday!!!

Everyone ♥ LOVES ♥ Pinterest:) You know you do:) and if you are asking yourself what is "pinterest", it is time to climb out from under that rock.

So what is "Pin It Thursday", you find nail art on Pinterest.com and try to replicate it (with your own twist of course)!!! Oh and you can find all my inspiration HERE:)

So for my first Pin It Thursday I decided to go with something simple:) Here is the original PIN
and here is my replication.

The original pin used a ivory jelly as a base and Ivory looks AWFUL with my skin tone:( so I did a basic taped french mani using Sally Hansen "Hard to Get", and stamped my accent nail with Konad Special White polish and Cheeky Plate CH6. All followed with a quick coat of SV.  If you wanna Join me for Pin It Thursday tell me HERE:) or post your pics to my Facebook Wall HERE:)

Are you a Diva or a Designer Part 3

So Are you a Diva or a Designer??? Well let's look at Zoya's Fall collection and you can tell me:) Part 3

FeiFei from the Diva Collection, is a fabulous Magic Blue Sparkle Metallic.  The Magic is how FeiFei goes from Blue to Gray, to Silver in seconds and all at the same time:)

Ray, from the Diva collection, is a Pine Green Metallic. He is beautiful and makes you want to ask "Ray, is it Christmas already?"

Evvie... from the Designer collection, an Evergreen Green Creme (Peter Som Custom Shade).  Evvie reminds me of Essie School of Hard Rocks, but a bit darker.

Noot from the designer collection, is a Dark Charcoal Green Gray Creme. He is the bigger darker older brother of Evvie. Like most bad boys you have to be careful with him or he will leave marks all over you!!!

Here are all the Green Boys lined up:) I ♥ them ALL!!!!

So what did you decide???  Overall I'm a Designer but I do have a bit of Diva in me too:)

Are you a Diva or a Designer Part 2

So Are you a Diva or a Designer??? Well let's look at Zoya's Fall collection and you can tell me:) Part 2

Daul is described as a Magic Violet foil sparkle metallic, but she is soo much more. She is gold and purple perfection in a polish.

Fall wouldn't be complete with out Monica,  she is a Dark Mulberry Purple creme.  Monica is rich and super pigmented, so careful with her or she will leave her mark on your cuticles.

Now Check out Daul with Monica... a match made in Polish Heaven!!!!

And every girl needs Toni, a designer collection polish to match her wine:)  She will stain you big time if you are not SUPER CAREFUL! Be even then the richness of her dark maroon red creme finish makes her worth the risk.

Now what can I say about Natty from the Designer Collection. Natty reminds me of thunderheads rolling in. He is a calming and relaxing smoked navy blue creme. But he will leave his mark if you aren't careful.

So far I am more Designer than Diva:) How about you???

Are you a Diva or a Designer Part 1

So Are you a Diva or a Designer??? Well let's look at Zoya's Fall collection and you can tell me:) Part 1

Take a look at Suri and Song both from the Diva collection...

Suri is this gorgeous Royal Purple Metallic. She is a 1 coat polish and will be perfect for stamping. Next is Song, he is a Egyptian Blue Metallic and a 1 coat polish as well.  Fair warning though, Song is a stainer, cuticles and nail bed:(  So as handsome as he is, make sure you use protection.

Now Look at that RED!!!! Now don't be fooled!!!! Even though these ladies Look a lot alike, they are VERY different:)

On my index and ring finger you will find Rekha, from the Designer collection she is a Creamy Blood Red. She takes 2 coats to develop into her true self:)  Next is is Elisa, from the Diva Collection she is a Metallic Crimson Red. She takes 2 coats as well, but careful with her or she will stain.

I haven't decided what I am yet... have you??? Stay tuned for the rest of the Diva Collection and the rest of the Designer Collection:)

Jelly time... not PB & J

So you have been hearing all about "Jelly's"  and Jelly sandwiches... No we aren't talking about a PB & J:) We are talking about Zoya GLOSS:)

GLOSS is Zoya's 2012 Sheer Jelly Collection.

First in the Collection is Katherine, a gorgeous sheer aubergine (berry) jelly, this one was originally created  for Designer Peter Som. You can see 3 coats of Katherine on my middle finger, the formula is smooth on every coat.  This is one you don't have to double coat to get even color:)
Next is Paloma, a fabulous sheer berry red jelly.
This is a 2 coat perfect pink jelly,it has smooth and perfect application. This one reminds me of a yummy bubblegum lollipop.

Finally you have Frida, a breathtaking sheer teal blue jelly. Now as pretty as Frida is the application leaves something to be desired:( It is a bit more sheer that the other two, and little streaky until you get to three coats:(  I have will definitely have to try this one in a jelly sandwich though!!!

Now all three have a build-able formula, which means you layer to build the coverage and color that you want. My Favorite is Katherine, I ♥ the dark sheerness to this polish!!! I think it will be PERFECT for FALL:)

Nail Mail... Jade HOLOS!!!!

So last week I got some pretty fabulous Nail Mail from my friend Carolina in Rio:) Several HITS and a couple of Jade Holos:) These are my first Jades, I am in L♥VE!!!!

Here is Fascinio Violeta (a light purple) This is probably one of the prettiest polishes I own and that is saying something.
Outside Sunny

This is Deja Vu (a hot pink).  This color is HOT!!!! If you ♥ Holos this is a must have color!!!!!

The Linear holo in these polishes is remarkable, and the wear is great. Most holos have a bad rap of chipping, these polishes had no problems with that!!! I didn't even sandwich in a topcoat!!!!  So are you as in LOVE with these as I am???
