Fun Floral

Hi Dolls:) Well Summer has officially started, especially here in the south! I am always super busy this time of year, but I wouldn't have it any other way!!!! Today I have a fun floral summer mani to share with you:) I used 6 China Glaze polishes for this look, Too Yacht Too Handle, I'd Melt for You, Daisy Know My Name, Dashboard Dreamer, Lip Smackin' Good and Let's Jam. I also used a black and white creme for accents   For my accent nail I free handed flowers using the watercolor method of diluting the colors with acetone:)

I would say this was a pretty easy mani to do, as far as skill, but it was time consuming:) Now I am off to pack for our family vaca, but loves to you all!!!

Poppy Accent Nail

Hey Dolls:) I'm back from an impromptu Vaca!!!! Got the opportunity to visit DC last week and jumped on it!!! I Love DC!!! I'm am not a "city girl" by nature but DC is beautiful, the architecture and the history are fantastic!!!!

(the hubby and me @ the Lincoln Memorial)

And all of my nails made it back in one piece!!!! I know I can't be the only one but whenever I head out of town my nails decide break:( Anyways... on to today's mani!!! For this mani I used Zoya Maura as the red, and accent nail of white with some free handed poppies. I diluted Maura with a little bit of acetone to get the watercolor effect, added the stems and details with black and followed it all up with a coat of SV!!!

The only thing different I would do is really pay attention to where I put the poppies, cause I wish they were more centered... my OCD is kicking in:) Have a great weekend!!!

Unconventional Color Combo:)

TGIF!!! Who is ready for the Weekend:) ME!!!! It has been crazy busy this week, with the kiddo out of school Mon, Tues, and Wed. having a seven yr old and 5mth old in the house is exhausting, add in 3 dogs and a cat = one tired momma!!!  I saw a mani on pinterest the other day with a super pastel purple with and accent of penny talk by Essie and got inspired:) I haven't used penny talk in such a long time I figured I would break it out!!! I didn't wanna go with a pale purple, I wanted something unusual:) I grabbed Zoya Blu, one of my favorite pale blues even if it does take 3 coats to not be streaky... and then added some pointy accents with Penny Talk and tape!!!!

I really do love this unconventional color combo!!! It is different, edgy, but delicate all the same!!! and did I mention easy:) What are your favorite unusual color combos???? Hope you Dolls have a fabulous and relaxing weekend!!!!

Heart Breaker

Happy Tuesday Dolls!!!! Today I had decided to try nail strips for the first time!!! I know these things have been out for a while, but I really like polish and I figure why mess with a good thing:) Plus application seemed like it would be a pain!!! But I was at Walgreens over the weekend, and these beauties were on clearance for less than $3:) Instead of doing a full many I just decided to do a accent nail just because I wasn't sure how well they were going to wear and or how I was going to like them:) I used Black by Salon Perfect as my base, and then I used Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in Heart Breaker on my ring finger:) I wanted to added a little accent to my thumb so I cut out a little heart and smacked it on!! Application was super super easy!!! Way easier than I expected except for the little hearts those were kind of pain in the butt:)

So what do you think of nail strips??? I think they're cute and I would definitely use them again however for $10 for the set is a little pricey, but if I catch them on sale again I'll pick some more up!!!
