Blurple Smoosh

Hi Dolls! So a few weeks ago I saw a Instagram nail tutorial by @nail_muse and just had to try it!!!  For my base I used China Glaze Bizarre Blurple. My accent color was a plain white creme.  I painted a small square on my silicon mat in my base color, put a drop of my accent color, and then another drop of my base. I then took my clear stamper and smooshed it down once. I painted a coat of SV on the square, and then after it dried used it as a decal:)

This is definitely a little tricky to get the hang of and super easy to smudge (as you can see on the corner of my nail). However it is very pretty and has a ton of possibilities! I am excited to try multiple colors and color combos!!!

Turquoise and Gray:)

Happy Tuesday Dolls!!!! Oh am I ready for spring!!!! So ready for all the germs and viruses to disappear!  So I figured I would brighten up my nails!!! I did a smoosh mani using China Glaze Out Like a Light (a dark gray creme) and Too Yacht Too Handle (a neon turquoise creme)! There are several different ways to do a mani like this.  I find the easiest way for me, is to use a squishy stamper, it gives me more control! But you can use saran wrap or plastic baggies, what ever you have lying around.

Simple, easy and stunning!!!! Super happy with this beauty:) Now I really wanted to stamp a silver design over this, but I couldn't decide on a design so I just left it alone... But I may stamp next time!

Blue Kisses:)

Happy Valentine's Day Dolls!!!!  This is by far one of the most over-rated holidays to me, either you need to go above and beyond to show your love for your SO... or you get the reminder that you are alone:( And even though I am very happily married, I think that flowers or candy on a random day mean more. But that is just me, and I have a lot of friends that LOVE this holiday and relish in all things Valentine:)  So this one is for the lovers of all things Valentine๐ŸŽ”๐ŸŽ”๐ŸŽ”
The base for this is Barry M Gelly in Blueberry. I stamped on Sinful Colors Pink (neon from a couple of years ago) and China Glaze That's Shore Bright. The kiss designs are from Bundle Monster Plate BM-303 and Cheeky Plate CH29:) I followed it all up with a matte top coat by Butter London!
I hope you have a fantastic Valentines Day no matter your relationship status!!! You all deserve to be pampered and loved on everyday of the year!!!

Glitter with Half Moon Stamping

Hi Dolls!!! So today's mani is a little sparkly and flashy, exactly what I need to shake away these winter blues!!!
I did a base of Zoya Reagan with two coats of Orly Bubbly Bombshell!  Bubbly Bombshell is like most glitter bombs because even though it is packed full of glitter it is still has a clear base that would take 3+ coats to get the coverage I wanted! So I did a base of Reagan! I then stamped a half moon design using Bundle Monster Plate BM-215 and China Glaze I'd Melt For You!!!

Now I usually shy away from glitter bombs, solely because they are a pain to remove!!! This mani reminded me that even though they may be a pain, the sparkle can't be beat!!!

Snowflake Gradient

Hi, Dolls!!! So we had our first and probably only snow last weekend (turned out to be more ice than anything) but we did have some awesome visible actual snowflakes toward the end of it!!!  This is the first time I had actually seen a "traditional" snowflake so I was pretty excited!!! So of course I had to do a mani inspired by it!!!

I did a base of white and a gradient of China Glaze So Blue Without You (this gem is from their holiday collection 2013)! I then stamped on some white snowflakes using Ejiubas EJB-
03. Followed it all up with a coat of SV!!!

I love the way this turned out!!! and this China Glaze is one of my favorites, it has a foil like finish and is such a bright color:)

Here is a pic I snapped of the snow flakes:)

Seas and Greetings

Hey Dolls!!! Hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving Holiday!!! So today I have the unconventional Holiday Collection from China Glaze:) Seas and Greetings, is a tropical take on traditional holiday classics that will make you want to jet away to a white sand beach with crystal blue waters.
*press sample*
First up is the namesake of this collection, Seas and Greetings. This beauty is a medium purple with an intense pink shimmer. The formula was a little thin but builds up easily:)

Eat, Pink, Be Merry is a gorgeous pale pink with a bright pink shimmer:) Again formula is a little thin, here are 3 coats.

Joy to the Waves is a serene light blue shimmer, that has a slight metallic quality.

Let's Shell-ebrate, is a explosion of purple and gold glitter in an variety of sizes in a clear base.  This does cover really nicely, here are 3 coats:)

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Starfish, is a pale green micro glitter bomb in a clear base:) Again excellent coverage, so full of glitter it almost appears to be a metallic:)

Good Tide-ings, is a cool blue lavender creme! This one has great pigmentation and great coverage:) Here is 2 coats!

Sand in my Mistletoes, is a pale peach creme. I love this color but, it does something very funny to my skin tone :/

Warm Wishes, is a brilliant watermelon pink with a slight silver shimmer.

Tis the Sea-Sun, is a orange leaning coral creme:) That is brighter in person! Here are 2 coats.

Snow Way, is a beautiful iridescent whiten with a heavy pink shimmer:) If you liked Pearl Jammin' from the Rebel Collection, you will love this!

Partridge in a Palm Tree, is an aqua green with a slight shimmer that has a matte finish:) The formula is a little thick and dries super quick, beautiful but a little hard to work with:(

The More the Berrier, is a metallic magenta with a hot pink shimmer!

I love this entire collection! I like the fresh tropical take on the traditional:) I was very happy with the formulas for most of the colors, but I feel like the shimmers could have been more pigmented, and the matte was very finicky! This collection is available at Sally's Beauty Supply now!!! My faves are Eat, Pink, Be Merry, Snow Way and Tis the Sea-Sun:)

Happy Halloween!!!!

Hey Dolls:) So I have 3 Halloween mani's to share this Halloween night!!! These are the mani's I have been rocking this past week:)  Hope you like them a much as I liked rocking them!!!!

A Halloween Silhouette
Background is Chirality Soska:) The Moon is a combo of Zoya in Cam, Thandie, and Pippa, details are basic black and white cremes!

Witches Feet
Zoya Tilda and China Glaze Mix and Mingle are the bases for this mani:) add in some black and a tiny bit of neon orange for the details:)

Pumpkin Tips
I used a straight black creme base and added the pumpkins with Zoya Cam and China Glaze None of your Risky Business, with the stems in Zoya Tilda:)
All of these are freehand art and took a good little while to complete:) but I challenged myself this week and had a lot of fun with it!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Water Jelly Mani:)

Hey Dolls!!! So it has been 2 whole weeks since my last post and unless you have been hiding under a rock, I'm sure you have heard about the devastating flooding Hurricane Matthew brought to Eastern NC:( We were very lucky here at my house and didn't get any damage but I know several people who lost everything... The waters didn't get quite as high as they did with Floyd back in 99 but it did bring up a little bit of PTSD for me (my family lost everything that year in the floods). So I wanted to do a water mani because water is beautiful and life giving. But it is duplicitous in its destructive nature.
For the base I used China Glaze Let's Jam the perfect lilac with a rich blue shimmer. I smashed on China Glaze Ride the Waves and Zoya Paloma with some saran wrap. I cleaned up my edges and added a coat of SV to finish this off!!
Both polishes I used to smash are jelly finished as to give the feel of water:) To me its like the river at sunset with the purple, blue and pink light reflecting back at you!!!  Next week is a prep for Halloween and Oh boy do I have some fun manis to show you!!!

Pink with Shell Stamping:)

So today I have a mani that I did a couple of months ago:) I totally meant to post this after I did it but I forgot!!! Like forgot that I even did the mani at all!!! But I ran across the pics this morning and well here you go:)  So for the base I used China Glaze I'll Pink to That, a bright bubblegum pink! I stamped on a shell design from Plate JQ-L20 from LadyQueen in Black.  I love the designs on this plate however I could not get 90% of them to pick up... I have approx 10 plates from this company and all of them have the same pickup ratio... I've tried different stamping polish and different stampers; same results:) I added a simple silver stud to the tips and followed it all up with a coat of SV.

I like this mani but I struggled with the stamping, I really love the designs but don't think I will ever be able to use them because they don't pick up:( Do you know anyway to try and salvage stamping plates that don't pick up, let me know!!!

Neon Corner Nails

Hey Dolls:) I have a fun mani that I sported over the weekend that I wanna share with you today:) I did a white creme base and then flicked a random line of China Glaze What I Like About Blue, That's Shore Bright, Pink Voltage, and Home Sweet House Music in the bottom corner:) I top it off with a partial nail stamping using Ejiubas Wonders of Life plate and Konad Black :) Followed it up with a quick coat of Seche Vite!

Super Easy and quick!!! I love manis like this because the are really hard to screw up (which I do often) :) Have a great weekend!!!

China Glaze Rebel Part 2

Alright Dolls:) Are you ready for Part 2 of China Glaze Fall 2016 Rebel Collection???? Well here it is and it is beautiful!!! Sorry about the delay... My internet went down last night and just came back up:(
*press sample*
Ya'll Red-y for This? is a bright cherry red shimmer! She is a true and classic beauty perfect for fall. Her shimmer is an understated silver that just gives her that extra umph:) Here is 2 coats no top coat.

Heroine Chic is a brownish gunmetal gray that is jam packed with a dramatic red shimmer! She is definitely a unique beauty. She is the hardest polish to describe in this collection! Here is 2 coats with no topcoat!

Purple Fiction is a bright medium purple shimmer with slight lean toward pinkish/red.  She is spectacular and now you can totally see why purple is a royal color! Here is 2 coats with no topcoat!

Teen Spirit is an inky blue-black jelly type base with flecks of blue and purple shimmers!  He is tall, dark and mysterious:) I just love the depth of this polish!  Here is 2 coats with no topcoat.

Blue-Ya is a deep blue jelly base with blue and teal flaky micro shimmers. He is gorgeous and a total 10!!! The same captivating depth as Teen Spirit, just not as dark:) Here is 2 coats with no topcoat!

Holo at Ya Girl! is a menagerie of gold, silver and green glitter in a clear base.  She was the most disappointing in this collection, not because she isn't beautiful but because she isn't HOLO:( she is rather shiny though:) Here is 3 coats with no top coat.

So that is the end of the Rebel collection:) You can grab yours now at Sally's or Ulta for around $8 per color:) My favs from this collection are Pearl Jammin', Combat Blue-ts, Purple Fiction, and Teen Spirit:) The teenage me is in heaven right now and the adult me is pretty happy too!!!!
