Shift Happens

So a few months ago I saw this awesome mani by Nicole over at Nail Polish Wars. I fell in LOVE with it as soon as I saw it:) I just knew I would have to try and recreate it, at some point:) But first I would need to get my hands on Girly Bits Shift Happens:) Well this past week I did:)  So I sat down yesterday and tried my hand at The Shifty Giraffe or Turtle as my son called it:)
So for my base I use my trusted China Glaze For Audrey, a perfect creamy tiffany blue:) I then stamped Black Giraffe print (regular and inverted) using Bundle Monster plate BM 313. After a coat of Girly Bits Shift Happens, a gorgeous top coat that shifts from purple to red, this mani transformed in to EPICness:) A quick coat of SV and done!!!
This has got to be one of my favorite manis of all time:) it is an unusual combination but it just pops off the nail!!!! I hope you are all having a fabulous Sunday:) And I have a giant surprise for you coming really soon:)

A Perfect Pairing:)

Hi Lovelies:) Sorry I have been so MIA the last couple of weeks, just had a ton of stuff going on in life and not enough time to do it all:/ But I promise I have some AMAZING posts in the works:) and to Start that trend I have what I like to call a perfect pairing:) Indie + Mainstream, Holo + Crème, = total perfection!!!!
The Base for this lovely duo is Julep Laura, this is a creamy dark olive green. Formula is perfect not watery or streaky and good with two coats (almost one). I Love this color on it own, it is different but classic in its own way, and totally reminds me of camo green:)  Now for the tips:) I used the fabulous Chirality Kale, this is a dark Holo green, that is COMPLETELY GORGEOUS!!!!!  Formula is perfection, one coat and done!!!
The method I used is TAPE!!! There is NO way I could get my lines straight without it:) This is probably one of my favorite types of manis:) You know how after day 2 on a mani the tips are really starting to show wear, a little tape and a complementing color can take your busted up mani and make it last for a couple more days!!!!

I Loved the way this mani turned out:) Julep really knocked it outta the park with this color:) and Chirality is one of my favorite indie makers of all time and the couple behind it is pretty awesome too!!!! What are your favorite mani styles??? and what do you do make your mani last a couple more days???

Avant Garden:)

Oh Oh Oh do I have something special to show you dolls today:) I have the six polishes from the fabulous Avant Garden collection by China Glaze to show you today:) This whole collection has me wishing for warmer, longer days, green grass, and spring flowers:) First up is Snap My Dragon, this bright magenta polish has a beautiful purply/pink undershimmer that just shines:) This is a classic polish color that in the bottle looks like probably 10 others I have in my collection, but on the nail it has a flair all it's own:) I have on 2 coats of Snap My Dragon followed by a coat of SV:)

Passion for Petals, is your quintessential petal pink. This classic crème pink is a staple for any polish lover or girl for that matter:) The formula is perfection, not watery like some light pinks and no pooling in the cuticles. 2 coats of this beauty and SV and good to go.

And the Bright blue of the collection is Sunday Fundy, this is probably my favorite polish from the collection. I Love blues, especially ones that look like a perfect cloudless summer sky:) I also love blues that don't stain your nails, and this one doesn't:) 2 coats of creamy perfection and a coat of SV and it is good to go:)

Now my least favorite polish from the collection Budding Romance, and this has nothing to do with the color. I actually Love this color, it makes me think of cut grass or rose leaves.  The formula is slightly watery but nothing unmanageable, three coats for complete coverage.  What got me about this polish is the color bleed, it left this yellowish tinge on my nails and cuticles, that took 2 day to get it all off:(

Tart-y for the Party is lavender crème perfection.  This polish is the color of lavender or wisteria and completely gorgeous!!!  The formula is great but the color is what really makes this polish:) 2 coats of this beauty and complete coverage. The color is dusty but bright at the same time and the contradiction is what makes me love this polish all the more.

Finally we have Dandy Lyin' Around. This is a beautiful white polish. Now what makes this polish different that all the other whites is the shimmer, this is not a pearl or iridescent polish. This polish is packed with white microglitter, this glitter doesn't color change it just shimmers white:) Totally Gorgeous!!!!  The only issue I had with this polish is the formula, I had to use white undies for this polish:( 2 coats of white, and 1 coat of Dandy Lyin' Around and done:)

So what do you dolls think of this fabulous line:) I LOVE IT.  The Avant Garden Collection will be out in stores soon:) Which one is your favorite:)

Scentedco

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to review some fabulous skin care products by Scentedco.  I tried Kiss my lips in Coconut. I LOVE this stuff, I will never go back to chapstick!!!! Kiss my lips goes on silky smooth and doesn't get sticky. It really penetrates into my lips and moisturizes them.  Especially during the winter months my lips get chapped and this stuff soothes without burning them like Carmex or Blistex, and it is tastes sweet too:)

Now, I am such a bath person!!! I would rather take a bath than a shower any day!!!  I tried the Lavender Vanilla Moisturizing Bath Salts.  These salts are bathed in a sweet relaxing smelling oil, I put about a tablespoon in the bath and WOW!!!  Now how moisturizing are bath salts really??? But they did smell fabulous!!!

Next have Raspberry Lemonade Body Polish:) This stuff reminds me of summer.  It smells like pink lemonade!!! and the granules are fine and small great for getting rid of all that nasty dead skin without scratching your skin!!!!  The sugar is in a oil bath that makes your skin feel fabulous!!!!

Finally, I have Coconut Lime Verbana body crème:) This is another summer smell, I just makes me long for hot weather, shorts, BBQ, and the BEACH!!! This stuff is rich and creamy, I would recommend putting this on right after a shower or bath.  It can leave a slight oily feeling especially if you are heavy handed with crème like I am:)

Overall I think this whole line is fantastic:) You can get your own Scented Co Products here

and make sure you show the LOVE on their Social Media Pages!!!!
