Boxer Shorts and Glitter by datyorkLOVES

Technically this is a Try it on Tuesday Post:) So let's try on Essie Boxer Shorts:) Now I just LOVE the name of this Polish, I couldn't imagine a more unlikely color for  a pair of Boxer Shorts. Anyway this polish is a perfect creme cornflower blue. This color look remarkably close to Essie Bikini so Teeny, but Bikini has a slight Shimmer and is about 2 shades lighter.

Now you know I had to add some glitter to this bad boy:) I put a quick coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust and added some pink stars and green hearts from datyorkLOVES GlitterLand

 

I ♥♥♥ this glitter from GlitterLand. It is soooo cute, the only complaint is that I have yet to figure out how to pickup a piece of glitter and put it on my nail with-out smudging my mani!!!!  Also this Mani lasted all of about 1 hour because I kept snagging the glitter on Stuff:(

Try it on Tuesday... Revlon Jelly

Try it on Tuesday Featuring Revlon "Jelly". So when I bought this polish a while ago and I thought it was a "jelly" polish.... I was soooo wrong:(  I wasn't really paying attention, it was in a twin pack that held "Cloud" a light blue/purple, which is the polish I was paying attention to. I have seen this "color" a million times and thought well if it is a jelly it will be great in jelly sandwiches.  Well today I realized  this is not a "jelly" polish, it is just a red/pink creme with a nice finish.  I then brought out my swatch wheels, because I just knew I had seen this polish before... It is an exact dupe of Julep "Rose".  "Jelly" is kinda streaky but fast drying and evens out after the second coat.

Scandalous!!!! TIOT

Oh my goodness... It is Try it on Tuesday already.... Where did the past week go??? So a couple of months ago after seeing a fabulous swatch of Revlon "Scandalous" I knew I had to have it. I went the next day and found it and a couple of other beauties I had been wanting. You can probably guess what happened, I got home did swatches and put the beautiful "Scandalous" in my polish stash, where it waited for it's turn to shine:) LOL... So here we are about 2 months later and I am looking for my next TIOT victim and who do I find peeping out at me but "Scandalous" of course.

What can I say, isn't she beautiful!!! She is a black jelly with large magenta hex glitter and small magenta glitter mixed in. Took three coats to get the opacity level I wanted and a coat of SV to smooth it all out:) But I love it and clean up was super easy, no staining:)

Ruby Pumps.... Yes Please!!!!! TIOT

So I have gone back and forth on this color for a few months. China Glaze "Ruby Pumps", it looks like a dark red micro glitter. I am not a huge fan of micro glitter, it usually seems like they are more trouble than they are worth! example: any of the China Glaze Prizmatic collection. Takes several Coats and is a huge pain to take off even worse than most glitters because the micro part gets EVERYWHERE!!!! I finally decided to get it, but put have put off wearing it. I decided to pull it out today in honor of TIOT:) 

Well I L♥VE it!!!! It took 2 thin coats to get complete coverage . It didn't stain my cuticles (reds and blacks tend to do this to me) and the SPARKLE!!!! This will def be my go to red during the holidays!!!!

Try it on Tuesday #5 School of Hard Rocks

 

I am starting to notice a trend in my colors to try.... Blue or Green:) So for this Try it on Tuesday I tried Essie "School of Hard Rocks" a creamy dark teal. This is a great color, full opacity in just 2 coats:) I think you could probably even stamp with it too!!!  This to me is not a Summer color but will be great in the Fall!!! Try it on Tuesday #4 Daisy Yellow

So for this Try it on Tuesday I chose Julep "Daisy". This is a beautiful Creamy Yellow. I must admit yellow is one of those colors that has always intimidated me. I am pale naturally so yellow usually makes me look completely washed out:( and true to form this yellow does just that:(!!!! It really is a beautiful color though! But it does take 3 coats for full opacity.  This will be a perfect accent color (I already have ideas floating around).

Try it on Tuesday # 3 Navy, Black, No Navy????

So for Try it on Tuesday, I  tried on Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in "Petrol". This is creme navy, almost black. I got this gems a couple of weeks ago on the clearance rack at Walgreens for 2.99:)  This will be a great fall color and is beautiful. Fair warning though you will need "Gelous" base coat under this one!!! I had it on for about a 1/2 hour and already started to see yellowing!!!! But after a quick peroxide soak, we are all better:) A Great big thanks to all my likes on facebook:P I hit 100 today and kept climbing:) you guys are great:) Once I get to 50 GFC Followers it is GIVEAWAY TIME!!!! Whose ready!!!!

 So for this episode of Try it on Tuesday I used "Into the Night" from the OPI Spiderman collection:) The pictures really do not do this color justice, it is a beautiful blue. I just got the mini collection and now I wish I had gotten the full size of this. For fun I added Chevrons in Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Celeb City". I really like this color, and now I remember why I bought it in the first place:)

Welcome to the first ever Try It On Tuesday! TIOT is where a group of bloggers and I are going to challenge ourselves to try out a nail polish every Tuesday that we already own but have never tried out. So for my first "Try it on Tuesday" I tried a combo:) I have had this beautiful dual chrome/iridescent  by Sinful Colors  "Let Me Go", for months and had never even touched it. It was super sheer when I swatched it and didn't really light my fire... Well tonight I layered it over Wet and Wild Megalast "On a Trip", and I'm in LOVE!!! Purple and green  and blue hues in this are beautiful, and make the polish really stand out.
