China Glaze Rebel Part 1

Happy Monday Dolls!!! So today I have the newest from China Glaze Fall 2016 the 90's inspired, Rebel Collection! I am so excited to share this collection with you for 2 reasons:) First, fall collections are always awesome in the polish world, and second because the names of these polish take me back to my pre-teen/teenage years and the 90's were AWESOME!!!!
*press sample*
First up is Dope Taupe (the bottle had a misprint), a grey with a slight lean toward lavender griege creme. Think stormy sky right at sunset. This is a great alternative to a nude, if you want a little more pop! 2 coats without a topcoat:)

Fresh Princess is a gorgeous bright pale pink creme!!!! She is the only one in this collection that her color seems more suited for spring. However I love the contrast to the rest of the collection, she stands out... Just like a princess should:) Here is 3 coats with no top coat (2 coats might be okay but I had a little streakiness after just 2)

Jagged Little Teal, is a vampy darkened teal. Isn't she ironic, a vampy teal!!! I love the color and the name:) She is super smooth and creamy, and not too dark.  Here is 2 coats with no topcoat!

Pearl Jammin' is my favorite from this collection:) This is a pearly baby blue with a grey tinge, but the magic is in the shimmer! Her shimmer is a strong copper pink that makes this polish breathtaking!!!! Here is 2 coats with no top coat!

Don't Mesh with Me, is a gorgeous lavender purple shimmer:) She has a slightly tinted pearl base packed with tons of purple micro shimmers.  I love the shimmer and shine of this beauty... but I don't think I would wear her alone, a nude or dark base would really make her stand out and I am just not a fan of the visible nail line!  Here is 3 coats with no top coat:)

Combat Blue-ts, is a cobalt blue shimmer that dries flat matte!!! He is bold, in your face, and so much fun! Now like with most men, he is slightly temperamental... You have to work quick or he will dry and get streaky on you. Be weary and wear a good base so you don't get any stains! Here is 1 coat with no top coat!  (that's right 1 coat)

The colors for this collection are so great, so much diversity in color, finish, and shimmer!!! The formula is exactly what I expect from China Glaze, easy, smooth and not too runny or goopy:) I have part 2 of this collection coming up later today, stay tuned!!!!

Reverse Stamping Take 2

Happy Friday Dolls:) So for today's mani I did a reverse stamp. Now I have tried reverse stamping method before and it wasn't a real success as it peeled half way through Day 2:( So I tweaked some things and gave it another shot! I used just a silicone baking mat to do this method, but you could use a beauty mat or something similar. I put my SV top coat down and then stamped in black the pattern that I wanted. I filled in the design with OPI OPI on Collins Ave., Essie Good as Gold and China Glaze Too Yacht Too Handle. Once this was semi-dry I put China Glaze Girls Just Want to Have Sun over top of the design. Now working one nail/decal at a time I top coated the decal... waited a few min and put a base of CG Girls Just Want to Have Sun on my nail.  I carefully peeled up the decal and placed it on the wet base. I then cleaned up the edges and then top coat it again making sure to seal everything in. Rinse and repeat for the other 9:) Here is the finished product!

I am really proud of how well this mani turned out and it lasted 5 full days:) I still managed to smudge a few spots and it took a lot longer to do this method than I thought it would. There are lots of youtube videos that give great tutorials on this method. I found after several failed attempts to not let the decals dry completely, but you don't want them tacky either so somewhere right in between! That way the decal doesn't curl up and will lay down completely on your nail. I will definitely use this method again in the future!  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Dotted Half Moon Mani:)

Hey Dolls!!!! So for today's mani I did a simple dotted Half Moon:) I grabbed one of my new favorites China Glaze Too Yacht too Handle!!! I say new favorite, because after having this in my stash for a while and not using it I finally broke it out:) This beauty is a true neon aqua/teal, something I have been searching for!!! I accented it with China Glaze I'd Melt for You and a simple Half Moon Dotting:)

I really like the combo of these two together!!! And the formula on both of these beauties is perfection!!! Hope you are having a great week!!!

Water marbling... the ultimate frenemy

Hey Dolls:) So I have been hibernating for a few weeks... Christmas season is always my busiest time of year,  pretty much like everyone else!!!! But I have all of my shopping done, all the decorations are hung and I am READY for the BIG DAY!!!!
To me water marbling is the Ultimate Frenemy for my nails...  love love love the look, but really HATE the process!!!! I have tried dry marbling to no avail and the only way I can get it to work for me is the standard drip, swirl, and dip method... and to be perfectly honest it is a pain!!!! For this mani I used China Glaze What's She Dune?, China Glaze Rain Dance the Night Away, and Zoya Talia!!!

I really like how well these colors play together:) Simple and perfect!!!!  And a quick question... am I the only one whose nails hate this time of year??? I have had 3 break in the last week:(

China Glaze Cheers! Swatches and Review

Hi Dolls!!! So it's Thanksgiving week and I don't know about you but I'm ready for some turkey! So this week I have China Glaze Cheers! Holiday 2015 for your viewing pleasure:)
*press sample*
First up is Better Not Pout, this is a merry berry pearl:) Not dark enough to be considered vampy but not bright either but definitely classic!!!

Wine Down for What? is a rich red cream almost like a good Merlot without the purple undertones:) So Beautiful!!!

Peppermint to Be is a glittery ruby shimmer:) I really like this because it has an orange undertone which brings a different feel than most holiday reds!!! I Love this for Christmas:)

Don't Get Elfed Up is a glistening deep emerald shimmer that has teal and blue undertones!!! It also has a hidden purple shimmer but you can only see it at certain angles:)

Mix and Mingle is a a deep purple cream!!!! This color is kind of the odd ball out in this collection, but I kinda of love that:) A great base for Glitter and Nail Art!!!

Son of a Nutcracker is a fiery red/orange pearl!!!! This is my favorite of the collection:) It is slightly coral and it for some reason it just speaks to me:)

I Soiree I Didn't Do It, is a bright and cheery green glitter!!! It has a sprinkling of holographic glitters with a ton of greenish teal glitters in a blackened teal base:)  So Beautiful!!!

Ugly Sweater Party is a multidimensional red glitter in a red jelly base:) Not what you think when you think of ugly sweater party because it's not ugly at all!!!! It's Stunning:)

Brand Sparkin' New Year is a deep prismatic purple glitter in a purple jelly base with holographic glitters sprinkled throughout:) One of my favorites from this collection!!!

Coal Hands, Warm Heart is a black jelly with holographic glitter throughout:) I love the contradiction in this Polish with the inky black base and the holographic glitters and then it's got a midnight blue Shimmer to it that is just beautiful!!!!

Break the Ice is packed full of prismatic silver shreds in a clear base:) Unlike most shreds these lay down super easy and are super stunning!!!! I did a accent gradient over Out Like a Light from the Twinkle Collection:)

Bring on the Bubbly is the last in this collection:) It is packed full of gold and holographic glitters in a clear base:) Great for adding a little sparkle to any mani!!!

I think my favorite part of this collection is the names!!! Son of a Nutcracker, Break the Ice, Coal Hand, Warm Heart, and Brand Sparkin' New Year are my favs from this collection:) I would really have loved to see Break the Ice in gold vs. Bring on the Bubbly, I just feel like this kind of glitter topper has been done before:( All swatches are 2 coats except for the glitter toppers:) Now I'm off to work on some turkey nail art:)

Zoya Paradise Sun Swatches

Happy Tuesday Dolls!!! I can't believe we are on the brink of Summer, although here in the South it feels like we are smack dab in the middle of it!!! Today I have Part 2 of the Zoya Summer collections for you, Paradise Sun:) This Collection is full of metallic micro shimmer in some gorgeous tones!!!
*press sample*
First up is Mae, a vibrant warm Magenta with a metallic finish and silver micro shimmer!!! Here is 2 coats with 1 coats of SV:)

Isa is next:) This gem is a rich purple metallic with a deep blue base infused with teal micro shimmers! This is my favorite of the whole collection:) Here is 2 coats with 1 coat of SV!

Selene, a rich teal with a strong metallic finish and aqua micro shimmers:) The finish of this is slightly off, once dry it almost looks like sheet prints and I'm not sure if I like it or not. But this color is absolutely stunning, but use a base as it can stain!:) Here is 2 coats with a coat of SV!

Oceane, is a blue metallic with a beautiful turquoise base:) The finish of this is the same as Selene and prone to stain as well:( However the color is breathtaking!!! Here is 2 coats and 1 coat of SV:)

Genesis is another favorite of this collection:) A Beautiful white shimmer that is not quite metallic!!! Here is 2 coats with a coat of SV:)

Aphrodite is the last in this collection, and has my favorite finish by far:) This is a vibrant red with an orange undertone, it's finish is a mix between a metallic and jelly!!! Here is 2 coats with a coat of SV:)

My favs of this collection are Isa, Oceane, Genesis!!! What are yours? This collection is available now on www.zoya.com for $9 each and $54 for all of them!
