Blue and Green Simple Nail Art

Hi Dolls:) I have some new easy nail art for you today! For this mani I used Zoya Dory, Barry M Greenberry, Sally Hansen White On. For the Silver I did a 2 step process with China Glaze Check Out the Silver Fox as a base and Salon Perfect Twinkle Twinkle sponged over.  I used striping tape for the design on my ring finger; and a sponged gradient and dotting tool for the design on my middle finger!

The only gripe I have about this mani is the drying time... When using striping tape on any mani you have to let the base dry COMPLETELY before putting on the tape or it will rip it up:(

Neon Dotted Mani

So last week after I got the new China Glaze Lite Brites collection I just had to do a little nail art:) (see my full review here) Simple nail art is my fav, mostly because it is a quick way to up your nail game! And when you have a toddler running around your ankles quick is essential.  I did a basic white base coat and then grabbed Lime After Lime, Whip It Good, None of Your Risky Business, and I'll Pink to That. I did some basic dots in different sizes, added a top coat and DONE!

See simple but beautiful!!! The more I use this collection the more I Love it!!! Hope you all have a great weekend:)

Yellow Polka Dot...

Everybody knows the song Itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini!!!! Even though it came out decades before I was born:) When I received Lemon Drops from Barielle's new Protect Plus Color with ProSina line, it was the first thing that came to mind!!!! ProSina is a specialized keratin that is infused into the polish to help protect and strengthen weak nails, awesome!!!!  But there is NO WAY that I am putting on a Bikini and posting photos, so instead I used that song as inspiration for this mani!!!!
*press sample*

Lemon Drops is a bright yellow creme! I used 2 coats and dotted on an easy pattern in white and followed it all up with a coat of SV. The wear time on this mani was decent for me, no tip wear or chipping until day 3:)  Of course I was doing laundry and we all know how that can destroy a mani!

For Lily

It is Friday again dolls! Sorry for the delay in this post, my last fur puppy passed away last weekend from bone cancer:( Lily was my beautiful, sweet, and gentle 13yr old Rottweiler! It has been super quiet around my house without her:(
In Honor of Lily (or Beanie as we called her) I did a black and tan mani for her markings!

I did a simple black base with dotted design using China Glaze Sorry I'm Latte. On my accent nail I did a black and tan water marble. Have a great weekend!

Dotted Half Moon Mani:)

Hey Dolls!!!! So for today's mani I did a simple dotted Half Moon:) I grabbed one of my new favorites China Glaze Too Yacht too Handle!!! I say new favorite, because after having this in my stash for a while and not using it I finally broke it out:) This beauty is a true neon aqua/teal, something I have been searching for!!! I accented it with China Glaze I'd Melt for You and a simple Half Moon Dotting:)

I really like the combo of these two together!!! And the formula on both of these beauties is perfection!!! Hope you are having a great week!!!

Blue and Green Fun

Hey Dolls:) Don't you just LOVE summertime!!! One of my favorite things about summer are the colors!!!! Everything is so bright and colorful, one of the saddest things about winter is everything is brown :(  I am a sucker for blues and greens so I grabbed 2 of my favs and threw this mani together!!! The colors I used are Barry M Greenberry, Sinful Shine Most Sinful and Sinful Color White on White.  I did some quick dots and added a gradient for fun:)

I Love the look of this mani, But I did figure out that Sinful Shine Most Sinful is a pain to gradient:( No matter how many times I tried I couldn't get the fade smooth or completely covered:( But it still turned out good!!!

Matte Rainbow Dots

Hi Dolls:) I haven't done a dot mani in a while and with all the rainbows on social media this week, I was inspired:)  I Love Dot manis mostly because they are super easy and fun!!! and with all the fabulous neon colors out right now I couldn't resist!!! For this mani I used all China Glaze polishes:
White:  White on White
Blue: DJ Blue My Mind
Pink: Shocking Pink
Purple: That's Shore Bright
Orange: Sun of a Peach
Green: I'm with the Lifeguard

I decided to add a Matte top coat to this just to give a little different feel:) CG's Matte Magic is what I used here:) I love how this mani turned out!!!

It all DOTS to Me

Good Morning Dolls!!!! I hope you have all had a great week!!! As I sit here drinking my coffee and listen to the TV playing in the background (the movie Twister, one of my favs), I am reminded of how far I have come with this little blog:) I just started out documenting my weekly (sometimes daily) manis and now I get the fabulous opportunity to review polish and have met some of the best most supporting women I have had the privilege to know!!! For Today's Mani, I wanted to take it back a little. Two of my favorite "nail art" techniques when I first got started were Skittles and Dots:) throw in a little Holo and I was all over it!!!  And looking at this mani I remember why I fell in Love with Polish:)

This mani is so fun, and my 6yr old loves it!!! Here are the polishes I used with links on how to get your own:)
Pointer (Blue) - Chirality Quarks, Zoya Ryan
Pinky (Red/Pink) - Chirality Bloodshot, Zoya Veronica

I am so happy with the way this mani turned out, the past couple of months I have been super slack on nail art but wearing this mani the last couple of days has reignited my love for it:)

Neutral with a Twist:)

Happy Hump Day Dolls:) So last week was a crazy hot mess in my life, and with all the craziness I needed a neutral palette cleansing polish to calm me down (a little).  Well that lasted a total of about six hours before I needed to add a little something extra to my mani:)  For my neutral polish I went for one of my favorite OPI's ever!!! Skull and Glossbones:) This polish is a creamy grey beige is a perfect palette cleanser; it is a little thin at first but builds nicely by the second coat.  The little something extra is Chirality The Symbiote, this polish is a dark charcoal grey holo, that leans warm instead of cool!!! And as you can clearly see they are a perfect match:)

Now this is where the twist comes in:) Just a flash of direct light and this mani comes alive:) Holo's like The Symbiote are my favorite, rich deep color in regular light but add some sunshine or a flash and BAM, knock your socks off Gorgeous!!!

Alright Ladies, that is all for tonight:) but do stay tuned I have the new Zoya Pixie Dust's swatches to show you later this week and some Nail Art (yes, you heard right nail art) and I'm quite proud of it:)

Dots make the world go round:)

So for this week's Pin it Thursday I used two colors I got in my Julep Maven It Girl Intro Box I used Julep Blake and Claire for this design and used Sinful Colors White On for an accent.  Here is the original Pin.

I was Super surprised by Claire,  in the bottle she looks like a muted light blue, but once I put her on she just POPPED!!!! I added Blake on top with my large dotting tool(had to do 2 coats of the dots to get complete coverage). Then I added the white dots with my small dotting tool.

I ♥♥♥ the way this turned out!!!! and I was even more surprised that my hand was steady enough to not screw up the dots!!! Even on my Right Hand:)

You can sign up to be a maven HERE:) Get your intro box for just .01 by using the promo code MAVENINTRO:)
so what did you do for Pin it Thursday???

Carolina Girls....

So this weekend I wore one of my favorite colors ever:) Carolina Blue:) aka  Essie "Bikini So Teeny":) I just love this color it is bright and fun but not pink:) Don't get me wrong I love pink!!! Hence the name Pinked Polish, just every now and then you need something bright and fun that is also on the cool side:)  I added polka dots with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On" for fun.  I also went to Sally's this weekend and picked up some polish and guess what...  SV is on SALE this month (super excited squeaky voice)!!!! I also picked up Orly Glam FX in Mermaid Tears only to get it home and realize that Jordana Glitters in Cosmic is so close that it is almost a dupe.  Orly's Glitter is holographic, while Jordana Glitters is multi color, but when you swatch them it is almost identical!!!! For some fun news I will be having a giveway posted sometime this week and once I hit 50 Followers be on the lookout for another one, I am thinking 50 shades of grey themed!!!! what do you guys want to get!!!! I want specifics!!!!

Bikini so teeny:)

So yesterday I went for a nail polish haul:) I got the OPI Spiderman collection (not impressed with the formula), Two of the OPI Minnie Mouse collection and several Essie:) I am a happy Polished girl right now and My Zoya mini's will be in hopefully today too:) So for this mani I was playing with some of my new polishes and wanted to do a color block but ran out of time so I dotted it up instead:) I used Essie "Bikini So Teeny" as my base a perfect periwinkle blue:) for the Dots I use Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White on", Essie "Camera" & "Action" from the poppyrazzi collection. I really wished the Essie formula wasn't so sheer so the colors would POP more:) I have so many ideas floating around right now. Can't wait to show you guys:) Sorry about the crappy pics my camera battery died so we get stuck with phone pics for now:(

PINK Voltage

I LOVE THIS COLOR!!! Can you tell? It just makes me smile everytime I look down:) This is China Glaze "Pink Voltage" the silver is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Celeb City"!!! The design in the top pic is done with striping tape and the bottom is done with a dotting tool!!! This color is sooo beautiful,  I really wasn't sure about it at the store but after a swatching I was hooked!!! WARNING this is a NEON and is super bright, so not for the faint of heart:) but you ladies can handle it right:)

On a DiFfEReNt Level

This mani took a great deal of time... but that was probably because it was one of my first;) the base is China Glaze "For Audrey" my fav Tiffany & Co. Blue/Turquoise!!! The tips are Sinful Colors "Black on Black" with the dots and line done in Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On".  I got so many compliments on this mani I will have to do it again:)

Flip Flop Fantasy:)

This mani was done with China Glaze "Flip Flop Fantasy" a rather remarkable pink/coral/orange NEON that does not photograph well at all:( I tried to take pics of this beautiful polish so many different ways and it just would not cooperate!!!! Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Celeb City" is the beautiful silver used here:) with a few accent dots:) I LOVE this COLOR and I am so sad that I could not get a pic that could capture its true beauty!!!! A great spring color!!!!!

Pink and White polka dots

These two mani's were done with the same colors and before I got my dotting tool:) If you done have one, get one ASAP, you can find them pretty cheap on amazon.com!!!  If you don't have one, you can use the end of a paper clip to dot, it is not the most consistent method but it does work.

Now for the Colors I used Sinful Colors "Boom, Boom" and Sinful Colors "Snow Me White" followed by a coat of SV.  I really love Sinful Colors b/c most of the time you can find then at Walgreens on sale of 99 cents a bottle:) Talk about a good deal:)

My Very First Post:)

Oooooh My very first Blog Post!!!! Welcomed to Pinked Polish!!!! I am super excited about this as I get soooo many ideas from other bloggers that I thought I would share my inspiration with others!!!! Here is a pic of my current Mani:) Don't you LOVE it!!!!

The base is China Glaze "For Audrey" a spot on Tiffany & Co. blue and the DOTS are Maybelline Express Finish "Gray-T Glamour" a dark gray with a slight shimmer followed by a top coat of Seche Vita or SV as I like to call it.

I will be adding more pics and stuff over the next few days and if there is anything you guys wanna see let me know:)
