Turquoise and Gray:)

Happy Tuesday Dolls!!!! Oh am I ready for spring!!!! So ready for all the germs and viruses to disappear!  So I figured I would brighten up my nails!!! I did a smoosh mani using China Glaze Out Like a Light (a dark gray creme) and Too Yacht Too Handle (a neon turquoise creme)! There are several different ways to do a mani like this.  I find the easiest way for me, is to use a squishy stamper, it gives me more control! But you can use saran wrap or plastic baggies, what ever you have lying around.

Simple, easy and stunning!!!! Super happy with this beauty:) Now I really wanted to stamp a silver design over this, but I couldn't decide on a design so I just left it alone... But I may stamp next time!

Fun Floral

Hi Dolls:) Well Summer has officially started, especially here in the south! I am always super busy this time of year, but I wouldn't have it any other way!!!! Today I have a fun floral summer mani to share with you:) I used 6 China Glaze polishes for this look, Too Yacht Too Handle, I'd Melt for You, Daisy Know My Name, Dashboard Dreamer, Lip Smackin' Good and Let's Jam. I also used a black and white creme for accents   For my accent nail I free handed flowers using the watercolor method of diluting the colors with acetone:)

I would say this was a pretty easy mani to do, as far as skill, but it was time consuming:) Now I am off to pack for our family vaca, but loves to you all!!!

Zoya Island Fun Swatches

Hi Dolls!!!! Today I have the Zoya Island Fun Collection to show you:) This is a collection of 6 richly pigmented bright creme beauties! One of the things I love most about this collection is the deepness of the tones, I can definitely see wearing this collection well into the Fall:)
*press sample*
First up is Demetria:) A bright poppy red that leans slightly orange! This color is so classic and beautiful it just begs to be put on your toes for a trip to the pool or beach!!! Here is 2 coats with a coat of SV!

Cecilia is a gorgeous traditional teal creme:) This polish makes me think of the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean!!! But be careful with this one as it is highly pigmented and can stain so make sure you wear a good base coat!!! Here is 2 coats with a coat of SV:)

Nana is a bright fuchsia that is perfect for your next Mani!!!! Love the wearability of this Color!!!! Here is 2 coats with a coat of SV:)

Serenity is a bright summery purple creme:) This gem has a great blue undertone and I love the way it looks with my skin tone!!!  Here is 2 coats with a coat of SV!

Jace is a great tropical green!!! Every time I look at this color I can't wait to do some nail art with it!!!! Here is 2 coats with a coat of SV:)

Lastly is Talia, a bright turquoise/blue creme that is incredible!!! I am such a sucker for blues too:) Like Cecilia this baby is highly pigmented and will stain, so make sure you use a good base!!! Here is 2 coats with a coat of SV!

I always look forward to Zoya's collections no matter the season and this is no different!!! I love how true to the tropics this collection is!!! It is available now on www.zoya.com for $9 each and $54 for the collection! Stay tuned because I have Paradise Sun Collection coming soon!!!

Leopard and Tips:)

Happy Thursday Dolls!!!!  Hope you all had a fabulous Memorial Day Weekend!!! As the wife of a Veteran, I salute the families of the fallen soliders who died in service of their country. I could only imagine the grief and loss that they experience!!!

On to the nail fun!!!! I was looking at Pinterest the other day (not an uncommon event at all!!!) and ran across a pin of some pretty fabulous nail art by Polish Art Addict you can see her original post here.  I used China Glaze For Audrey, Flip Flop Fantasy and Wet n' Wild Black for this mani:) I free handed the tips and leopard spots. Then I sealed it all up with 2 coats of SV.

I am super happy with the way this mani turned out. It is bright and fun and took no time at all. What do you think of this mani, do you get ideas from pinterest too???

Unusual Combo

TGIF!!!! This week have just been one disaster after another.  I really don't think I could take another day this week. On top of that I am getting ready to enter No Buy November, and with all the fabulous collections getting ready to come out for Christmas, it just makes me sad. Anyway on to the Polish:)
I got this gorgeous L'Oreal Precious Coral a few weeks ago, this coral is more of a standard coral as it has much more of a red/orange undertone vs the pink undertones we saw so much of this Spring and Summer. A Great choice for Fall:) For my accent I choose Essie Turquoise & Caicos:) This is one of my favorite polishes, the color is just so bright and creamy.   Then I added on a few leopard spots and a coat of HK Girl and tada:)
I am so in ♥ with the leopard accent nails.  I just think it is sooo fun!!!! I wanna try a Jelly leopard mani, Maybe I will work on that this weekend.  I'll let you know how it goes:) Have a Great Weekend and don't forget to pick up some Candy for Halloween:)

Mix My Matte UP!!!!

I wanna Show you one of the prizes in my 500 Likes Giveaway Part II :) Daring Digits Mix My Matte Up!!!! The first time I saw this polish and it's name I immediately thought of the Prodigy song "Smack my B@#$ Up", not really sure why:)
This polish is an explosion of Matte Glitter in clear matte base.  This polish has just about every type of Glitter except bar glitter (not a huge fan of it over here), in every color.  I layered Mix my Matte up over 2 coats of Essie Turquoise & Caicos, followed with a coat of SV.
I did have to dig (a little) with this polish but I kinda liked that, it gave a sparse look that didn't over power but accented:) It dried in a flash too.
So what do you think??? I personally love it, I don't have any polishes that give this effect.  It is Unique in my collection:)  You also have the chance to win Trick or Treat by Daring Digits in my giveaway, which my review of will be up on the blog later today...  Until then, you can Buy this polish and many more from the Daring Digits Etsy Store. And make sure you check out their Facebook Page for upcoming releases and sales:)

Jelly time... not PB & J

So you have been hearing all about "Jelly's"  and Jelly sandwiches... No we aren't talking about a PB & J:) We are talking about Zoya GLOSS:)

GLOSS is Zoya's 2012 Sheer Jelly Collection.

First in the Collection is Katherine, a gorgeous sheer aubergine (berry) jelly, this one was originally created  for Designer Peter Som. You can see 3 coats of Katherine on my middle finger, the formula is smooth on every coat.  This is one you don't have to double coat to get even color:)
Next is Paloma, a fabulous sheer berry red jelly.
This is a 2 coat perfect pink jelly,it has smooth and perfect application. This one reminds me of a yummy bubblegum lollipop.

Finally you have Frida, a breathtaking sheer teal blue jelly. Now as pretty as Frida is the application leaves something to be desired:( It is a bit more sheer that the other two, and little streaky until you get to three coats:(  I have will definitely have to try this one in a jelly sandwich though!!!

Now all three have a build-able formula, which means you layer to build the coverage and color that you want. My Favorite is Katherine, I ♥ the dark sheerness to this polish!!! I think it will be PERFECT for FALL:)

Water Marble... By golly I think I've got it!!!!

So for the past week I have been trying to do a water marble for Jilltastic's Weekly challenge, and I have failed miserably more times than I care to admit. But after some help from some fabulous ladies I know on FB I think I have finally got it!!!

I used Sally Hansen "Hard to Get"  as my base. Then marbled with Essie "Bikini so Teeny", "Turquoise & Caicos", and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Coral Reef".  I was very happy that this finally turned out the way it was supposed too!!!! I did get some weird water bubbles on my nails though I guess I need to blow them off better!!! Well I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!!

Foil Tips:) Semi FAIL

So this mani is not a Total FAIL... Just a semi one:) I was rushed and went about it the wrong way!!!! I didn't let my base color dry totally, put my top coat on tooo fast and didn't clean up the foil edges:(   But despite all of the above it still looks pretty cool and achieved exactly what I wanted:)  So for the base color I used Julep "Robin", I am so loving Teal right now:) and them I taped tips and foiled them with "Ocean Mist" foil that I got from www.dollarnailart.com. Then I added Holo Top Coat 20 (I got this on Copious) on the entire nail:) I was pleasantly surprised that this didn't crinkle the foil very much:)  Hope you guys are having a great weekend!!!! ♥ Pinked Polish
This pic is without flash and you can see the
lavender and teal pattern in the foil:)

Try it on Tuesday #5 School of Hard Rocks

I am starting to notice a trend in my colors to try.... Blue or Green:) So for this Try it on Tuesday I tried Essie "School of Hard Rocks" a creamy dark teal. This is a great color, full opacity in just 2 coats:) I think you could probably even stamp with it too!!!  This to me is not a Summer color but will be great in the Fall!!! So that is my Try it on Tuesday, don't forget to Enter my Giveaways #1 and #2!!!!

Tribal Accent Nail

So I was on pinterest earlier and one of my girlfriend had this nail art pinned with a comment for me to do it:) So this is for you H:)  For my main color I used Essie "Turquoise & Caicos" a beautiful teal:) This color is so much like China Glaze "For Audrey" if you own one you really don't need the other, and as a polish hoarder I say that with EXTREME prejudice.  For my Accent nail I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On" with hand painted abstract lines in Sinful Colors "Black on Black" all followed with a coat of SV.

Oh What Fun!!!!

So I saw this mani on Pinterest (amazed at how many times I have uttered those words) and thought I would try it out... MASSIVE FAIL!!!!! Well I think so anyway, my hubby says it looks great!!! My stamping was spot on, but I figured out I need a new detail brush ASAP.  Any way for this mani I used Maybelline Color Show "Porcelain Party" as my base, and stamped over it with Konad Black using Bundle Monster Plate BM-210.  I then added in details using Julep "Robin" a light teal and Julep "Daisy" a bright yellow. This mani looks fantastic from afar but up close it is a disaster!!!! Another reason I don't do a lot of free hand Nail Art!!! Anyway tell me what you think:) And don't forget to enter my Julep Giveaway
