Stamping Penny Talks

Happy Friday Eve Dolls!!!! I have been trying to paint my nails for DAYS!!!! But I have a very cranky 1yr old who is cutting teeth like crazy!!! Last night my Hubby gave me a couple of hours to myself (THANK YOU HUBBY) to paint my nails and decompress!!! I went with a basic black and then stamped on some Essie Penny Talks using Born Pretty Plate W-10. Simple Elegant and perfect!!!!

I feel like I am getting a renewed desire for nail art!!! And I have so many ideas floating around in my head, I can't wait to show you:)

Born Pretty Gold and Silver Foil

Oh I sooo ♥ Fall weather!!!! It has finally started to get a little cooler here and is really started to feel like Fall!!!! and in celebration of this change I did some super easy nail art with Born Pretty Gold foil!!!
*press sample*
I paired the Gold foil with Zoya India and put a top coat over and DONE!!! Super Easy:)

Now the foil is super thin and definitely fragile!!!! The only look it is really feasible to be used for is this:( but it does lay flat on the nail and looks freaking fantastic, not to mention you get 6 gold and 6 silver for less than $6 @ Born Pretty Store (use RWL91 for 10% off your purchase)!!!!  What do you think of this look??? Perfect for Fall right!!!

On the 11th and 12th days of Christmas...

I did a simple taped Christmas Tree for my last Christmas Mani:) I am soo excited for Christmas this year, my little boy is almost 5 and his excitement is contagious!!!!
For this simple mani I used Zoya Elisa as my base, and Zoya Logan for my tree, I then dusted on some loose glitter from the Born Pretty Store and top my tree with 1 gold glequin.
Christmas to me is first and foremost the Birthday celebration of a little baby boy that would grow into my Savior.  I know not everyone believes the same way I do, but this is the reason I celebrate:) Why do you?
Merry Christmas!!!!

On the first day of Christmas...

My true love gave to me Julep's new green polish Emilie:)  This Polish wasn't given to me by my true love, but I do ♥ it!!!! Emilie is a medium creme green with a slight lean toward smoky, And definently not as teal looking as the pics... I don't know what happened there...
This polish is fantastic, I have on 2 coats followed with a coat of SV and BAM!!!  Beware this polish has slight staining issues, is a little on the thin side I had slight pooling in the cuticle area:( But it is absolutely gorgeous.
Now it being the Christmas Season I wanted to get in the spirit:)  So I added Born Pretty Glequins in red, just on my tips. This look is slightly Gaudy, and def not for the faint of heart, but is sooo much fun:)
Now I have deals for you:) If you are not a Julep Maven you should be,  You can sign you to become a Maven, for $20 a month you have access to the newest polish colors by Julep, and don't forget enter discount code VIP20  to receive 20% off on purchases of $20 or more at julep.com. and many other perks!!!! And for the Glequins I got those little gems from Born Pretty and you can get you some too Click here and get 10% off:)

'Glequins'

So I have been hearing the term 'Glequins' for a couple of months now, it is the large hex glitters that are placed individually on the nail to create patterns and designs:) And the lucky duck that I am, I got a chance to review some from the Born Pretty Store:) this is the set I got and you can get yours here.
12 Colors Nail Art Shiny Glitter Powder Sheets Tips Tool
Glequins 12 color choices for $5.35

Now I don't know about you but I love the look these give, and you don't have to be able to paint a straight line:)   The first mani I used the 'Glequins' on was something I had seen done before.  A honeycomb pattern and nail outline.  I used Essie No More Film, a rich purple/blue creme with the light green 'Glequins'. Application was super easy, while my polish was still tacky, I applied the 'Glequins' with the slightly damp pointed end of a orange stick. After 2 coats of gelous and a coat of SV, it was super smooth:)

The next mani I tried my hand at started with a base of Chirality Apollonia, (probably the prettiest purple polish I own).  I first did a stripe of silver striping tape down the side of my nail, then lined 'Glequins' down the outside of the stripe.  2 coats of gelous and 2 coats of SV(b/c of the striping tape) and ta-da!!!!  How fabulous is this mani!!!!

So what do you guys think of the 'Glequins' look???  Wanna try it??? Click the Pic below to get 10% off of your order today!!!!
