Blue and Green Simple Nail Art

Hi Dolls:) I have some new easy nail art for you today! For this mani I used Zoya Dory, Barry M Greenberry, Sally Hansen White On. For the Silver I did a 2 step process with China Glaze Check Out the Silver Fox as a base and Salon Perfect Twinkle Twinkle sponged over.  I used striping tape for the design on my ring finger; and a sponged gradient and dotting tool for the design on my middle finger!

The only gripe I have about this mani is the drying time... When using striping tape on any mani you have to let the base dry COMPLETELY before putting on the tape or it will rip it up:(

Heart Breaker

Happy Tuesday Dolls!!!! Today I had decided to try nail strips for the first time!!! I know these things have been out for a while, but I really like polish and I figure why mess with a good thing:) Plus application seemed like it would be a pain!!! But I was at Walgreens over the weekend, and these beauties were on clearance for less than $3:) Instead of doing a full many I just decided to do a accent nail just because I wasn't sure how well they were going to wear and or how I was going to like them:) I used Black by Salon Perfect as my base, and then I used Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in Heart Breaker on my ring finger:) I wanted to added a little accent to my thumb so I cut out a little heart and smacked it on!! Application was super super easy!!! Way easier than I expected except for the little hearts those were kind of pain in the butt:)

So what do you think of nail strips??? I think they're cute and I would definitely use them again however for $10 for the set is a little pricey, but if I catch them on sale again I'll pick some more up!!!

Too Cute-icle:) Brand New Brand

OHHH I am soooo excited to be able to show you guys these polishes!!!! My Super sweet friend Jess has finally opened her shop Too Cute-icle :) Jess  has been working on this line for months perfecting and tweaking each polish to be exactly what she wants, and they are fabulous!!!!  First up is Mama's Girl:)
Mama's Girl is glitter infusion of light blue, dark blue, and medium green micro glitters, with a smattering of larger dark blue and green hex and square glitters in a clear base.  This polish is designed to be a layering polish, and is perfect!!!!  I have put 2 thin coats over Essie Good as Gold and ta-da:)
In a moment of pure brilliance I decided to add a Matte top coat and WOW, look at the fabulousness!!!!  This polish had excellent drying time, no fishing required and it is just gorgeous!!!!

Next up is Frosty the Penguin. Frosty is a mix of light blue glitter of all sizes with a splash of small light copper glitters, all suspended in a clear base:) This polish is so gorgeous I can't even describe!!!  So much better IRL!!!!
I have put 2 thin coats of Frosty over Sally Hansen Complete Manicure in Petrol.  This Mani got me sooo many compliments, it is just delicate and sparkly and so in the spirit of the season!!!!

Now Today is the Grand Opening of Jess's Etsy Store Too Cute-icle and you can get these or any other in her debut collection for  $7 or grab a mini for $3.  You will not be disappointed!!!! and don't forget to show the L♥VE on Facebook too!!!!

In the Spirit of Halloween... Candy Corn

So in the Spirit of Halloween I decided to join in on the fun:)  I have seen a ton of Candy Corn inspired manis and was inspired myself:)  I decided to mix it up a little and do a scalloped Candy Corn accent nail.
I used Sally Hansen Hard to Get (I really need to find a better white, this took 3 coats), I did the first scallop with Julep Daisy (a perfect bright yellow) and the second scallop with Wet n Wild MegaLast in Club Havana (a creamy pumpkin orange).  This is about the time I realized I started too far down the nail, and had way more orange than I wanted.  I had almost decided to do a regular frenchie on the other nails, but changed my mind and went with black.
I broke out Sinful Colors Black on Black and added the 3rd scallop and black tips. Even though this didn't turn out the way I had planned it, I think it is better:)
What do you think of my Candy Corn mani:) and what is a good white polish????

Cheeky!!!!

I have been given the wonderful opportunity to review the Cheeky Summer Collection Stamping Plates, so buckle up:) Now right away I noticed the Cute packaging of this set!!!

A cute little box to keep them all together, no more plastic baggy... YAY!!!! Not only that but it is magnetic and will stay closed. This set comes with 26 plates with everything from geometric designs, to aliens, to flowers, to flipflops, and everything in between!!!!
This set also came with this "Nail Artist License" or aka Emergency scraper:) Now I tried this out as a scraper and I like it way better than my Konad metal one:) It doesn't take off too much polish, but doesn't leave too much either:)
I used the Leaves on CH33 for my mani and WOW!!!! No worries at all about not enough coverage,  these plates are approx 25% larger than the others in my stash and the design is larger too:) it also has plenty of space between designs so no more accidental pick up!!!
I used Zoya Katherine, a berry colored jelly polish,  and Sally Hansen Silver Chrome Pen for this mani, and it turned out GORGEOUS!!!
Look how much larger the plate is compared to my hand and look at those great designs!!!!  Now the only thing I did not like about this set is some of the engraving is not even so some designs pick up polish more in some places and less in others. But then again that could just be me, or the polish I was stamping with:)
Now if you have never tried your hand at stamping now is the time!!! You can purchase this set here for $24.99 and you can visit Cheeky on Facebook.  So do you stamp??? Do you have this set, and if so what is your favorite design????

My First Ever Pin It Thursday!!!

Everyone ♥ LOVES ♥ Pinterest:) You know you do:) and if you are asking yourself what is "pinterest", it is time to climb out from under that rock.

So what is "Pin It Thursday", you find nail art on Pinterest.com and try to replicate it (with your own twist of course)!!! Oh and you can find all my inspiration HERE:)

So for my first Pin It Thursday I decided to go with something simple:) Here is the original PIN
and here is my replication.

The original pin used a ivory jelly as a base and Ivory looks AWFUL with my skin tone:( so I did a basic taped french mani using Sally Hansen "Hard to Get", and stamped my accent nail with Konad Special White polish and Cheeky Plate CH6. All followed with a quick coat of SV.  If you wanna Join me for Pin It Thursday tell me HERE:) or post your pics to my Facebook Wall HERE:)

Different Angles

So I decided to do a different take on a taped mani:) I saw a mani like this on pinterest done in black, white, and grey's that was beautiful, seen here:) I had these colors out recreating a pinterest pedi seen here.  The pedi wasn't a total success but not a total fail either:)  So I decided to use the same colors for my Mani.  The base color I used is Sally Hansen "Hard to Get".  I followed that up with OPI "Pink of Hearts 2",  Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Golden-I" and finally Finger Paints Magnetic "Electro Midnight" (no magnet used). All followed with a generous coat of SV and ta-da:) This mani was adorable, but it did take a long time:( Waiting for each layer to dry even with SV between coats was a pain!

What do you think worth the time or a waste of time???

Water Marble... By golly I think I've got it!!!!

So for the past week I have been trying to do a water marble for Jilltastic's Weekly challenge, and I have failed miserably more times than I care to admit. But after some help from some fabulous ladies I know on FB I think I have finally got it!!!

I used Sally Hansen "Hard to Get"  as my base. Then marbled with Essie "Bikini so Teeny", "Turquoise & Caicos", and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Coral Reef".  I was very happy that this finally turned out the way it was supposed too!!!! I did get some weird water bubbles on my nails though I guess I need to blow them off better!!! Well I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!!

So by now you know that every week Jill @ Jilltastic has a weekly challenge. Well this week I was super lucky and got to choose the Challenge:) an well I ♥ leopard nails so it was a given:) I saw a mani on pinterest that I thought was super cute (you can see it here) so I figured this is perfect for the challenge!!! I taped my tips coated them with Sally Hansen " Hard to Get" your basic creamy white. I grabbed my medium dotting tool and China Glaze "Pink Voltage" and made approx 5 abstract dots on each nail.  I then grabbed my tiny dotting tool and Sinful Colors "Black on Black" and made semi circles and dots around each pink dot:)  Followed it all with a coat of SV and TA-DA!!!! So what do you guys think??? I ♥ it!!!! Def will be keeping this one for a few days!!!!

Pastel Tips... Pinterest inspired

This mani was totally Pinterest inspired!!! This was one of the first mani's I saw on pinterest that I loved!!! Anyway the base nude color I used for this is Essie "Sand Tropez". I also used Sally Hansen "No Hard feelings" (Purple), Essie " Turquoise and Caicos" (Green), Essie "Bikini so Teeny" (Blue), Sally Hansen Salon Manicure "I Pink I Can" (Pink), and Sinful Colors "Unicorn" (Yellow).  I started by painting the based coat and then once that was dry I taped off the tips and painted the other colors:) I still feel like this mani needs something but can't quite put my finger on it. If you have any suggestions let me know:) Happy Weekend!!!!

At Home...

So I am at home today with my sick little boy and while he naps I figured I'll do a mani that I have been wanting to do but knew that it was gonna take a little time:) so for the Pink here I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in "I Pink I Can" and the blue is China Glaze "For Audrey" accented with Gold Striping tape:) all followed with a coat of Gelous and a coat of SV:) Gelous is a top coat that I found at Sally's  that is great for glitters that "eat" top coats and striping tape:) I really like the way this turned out:) Oh and a big Happy Birthday to my Hubby ♥ U babe:)

Flip Flop Fantasy:)

This mani was done with China Glaze "Flip Flop Fantasy" a rather remarkable pink/coral/orange NEON that does not photograph well at all:( I tried to take pics of this beautiful polish so many different ways and it just would not cooperate!!!! Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Celeb City" is the beautiful silver used here:) with a few accent dots:) I LOVE this COLOR and I am so sad that I could not get a pic that could capture its true beauty!!!! A great spring color!!!!!

White stripes

I absolutely loved this mani!!!! I used Sally Hansen Extreme Wear "White On" and teal metallic striping tape found here, followed with a coat of SV. This was a super easy mani; however, not one of the longest lasting ones I have done:)
