Zoya Seashells Swatches and Review

Hey Dolls!!!! Are you ready for Summer YET???? I am:) Especially with all of the fabulous summer collections coming out now:) Today I have the new Seashells Collection to share with you. Zoya stated last year that they were retiring PixieDust polish but surprised us all with this collection of Pixies, and although I may never become a huge fan of texture finished polishes I really like these!
*press sample*
Cece has a bold grass green base packed with green and gold glitters with just a touch of darker green glitters to create some interesting depth.

Cece with 1 coat of Gelous and 1 coat of SV. I love the way topcoats change the whole look and feel of texture polish!

Bay is a sheer light blue base packed with sky blue, gold and sliver glitters. It also has some medium and dark blue glitters mixed in to give it that classic pixie dust look:)

Bay with 1 coat Gelous and 1 coat SV.

Tilly is jammed with bright silver and gun metal glitters with a load of fine holo glitters. This color is shiny and flashy and gorgeous, perfect to stand out against a LBD or perfectly pedicured toes!!!!

Tilly with 1 coat Gelous and 1 coat SV.

Linds is packed with red glitter in a semi sheer red base with a flash of pink and gold.  This is the only color in this collection that I didn't like.  It is brighter than Chyna (Spring 2013) but didn't dry as matte as the others and again gave me the creepy vibe of dried blood...

Linds with 1 coat of Gelous and 1 coat of SV... Don't mind it as much with the topcoat as much more of the pink and gold show through:)

Zooey is a petal pink glitterfest with a ton of gold glitters and just a touch of holo flash glitters. The gold in this polish makes it flash peach depending on the angle and light:)

Zooey with 1 coat Gelous and 1 coat SV.

Levi is the Gold version of Tilly:) Packed with gold and darker gold glitters with a big flash of holo! This one was the biggest surprise for me in this collection because I love the texture of this one:)

Levi with 1 coat Gelous and 1 coat SV.

So are you happy that Zoya brought back the PixieDust formula or is this a trend to be led out to pasture??? I am personally happy that PixieDusts are back, even though I don't think I will ever truly love texture polishes... The look of them with a topcoat to me is perfection!!! The polishes are available now on Zoya.com for $10 and as an added Bonus Zoya created a Lipstick to go perfectly with this collection
Here is Millie a fun deep Berry Pink:) Also available for $12:)

Freehand Flower

Happy Friday Dolls! For today's mani I decided to do a little bit of freehand nail art. I used China Glaze Bite Me as my main color and painted my 2 accent nails in Sinful Colors White on White. I added a few quick black dots to my middle finger:) For my ring finger I used China Glaze Bite Me, None of Your Risky Business, Pool Party, and That's Shore Bright to do an impressionist style of flower and added some black dots to highlight the center :)

This kind of freehand art is so easy, there are no straight lines and no way to really mess it up:) and it looks fantastic:) Hope you all have a wonderful relaxing weekend!!!!

Reverse Stamping Take 2

Happy Friday Dolls:) So for today's mani I did a reverse stamp. Now I have tried reverse stamping method before and it wasn't a real success as it peeled half way through Day 2:( So I tweaked some things and gave it another shot! I used just a silicone baking mat to do this method, but you could use a beauty mat or something similar. I put my SV top coat down and then stamped in black the pattern that I wanted. I filled in the design with OPI OPI on Collins Ave., Essie Good as Gold and China Glaze Too Yacht Too Handle. Once this was semi-dry I put China Glaze Girls Just Want to Have Sun over top of the design. Now working one nail/decal at a time I top coated the decal... waited a few min and put a base of CG Girls Just Want to Have Sun on my nail.  I carefully peeled up the decal and placed it on the wet base. I then cleaned up the edges and then top coat it again making sure to seal everything in. Rinse and repeat for the other 9:) Here is the finished product!

I am really proud of how well this mani turned out and it lasted 5 full days:) I still managed to smudge a few spots and it took a lot longer to do this method than I thought it would. There are lots of youtube videos that give great tutorials on this method. I found after several failed attempts to not let the decals dry completely, but you don't want them tacky either so somewhere right in between! That way the decal doesn't curl up and will lay down completely on your nail. I will definitely use this method again in the future!  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

A Little Art Deco

Hey Dolls:) I was perusing Pinterest the other week looking for nail art ideas, and of course I have a nail art board. I was looking at some of the ideas I pinned years ago and I stumbled upon this mani by SoNailicious, and thought I would give it a try!  I used Zoya Chantal, Lillian, Sia and Essie Good as Gold. I am really happy with the way this mani turned out:)

Looking at the pics now I definitely still need some practice with my line work but overall it's not bad:)  I love the art deco feel of this mani, and one benefit of looking at old pins is it gave me lots of inspiration:)
