Reagan Love

Inside Flash
Inside Flash
Sorry I have been slack on posts for the past few days... I have been feeling a little under the weather:(  So today I decided to try a color I got a couple of weeks ago by mistake... My order from Zoya got messed up but their CS rocks!!!! The polish is Zoya "Reagan" a creme magenta that leans purple rather that red:) I would describe this color like chocolate it is just that creamy, rich and smooth. For an accent on my ring finger and thumb I added 3 coats of Jordana Glitters "Magenta Magic".  The combo is beautiful but the glitter photographs purple when really it is a pink. (Check the pics to see). Happy Thursday Everyone!!!!!

Try it on Tuesday #2 The Blues

Inside Flash
So for this episode of Try it on Tuesday I used "Into the Night" from the OPI Spiderman collection:) The pictures really do not do this color justice, it is a beautiful blue. I just got the mini collection and now I wish I had gotten the full size of this. For fun I added Chevrons in Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Celeb City". I really like this color, and now I remember why I bought it in the first place:)

Acid Wash

So tonight I tried a technique called acid washing... it is relatively straight forward, you layer your choice of colors (I used 4) then you take a brush dipped in acetone and remove the colors in splotches and layers until you get the effect you want. I really like the look of this effect and really wanna try it in all neon:)!!! So for this mani I started with a base coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear “White On”, followed by China Glaze “Pink Voltage”, and Zoya “Myrta”, and finished with Sinful Colors “Hot Spot”. Completed the look with a coat of Gelous and SV to even the dips out. I do think that the end result would have turned out better if I had waited for each layer to dry before adding the next one... Oh well there is always next time:)

What more could you want???

White Tips, Gorgeous Green and Glitter!!! What more could you ask for???? So last night I was struggling to decide what I was gonna do and a friend of mine suggested- a red polka dot mani with white tips- an idea which I love and will be doing soon!!!! But (insert SAD face) I couldn't find my favorite red (which I have now found). So I thought I would try it with green/turqouise.  I slathered on 2 coats of  Zoya "Zuza" and taped off some white tips with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On" :)  This is about the time that  inspiration struck!!! That new Jordana Glitter "Cosmic" I picked up last week would be perfect over this.  I ♥♥♥ the way this mani turned out:) but I did figure out in the process that Jordana Glitters are Topcoat HUNGRY!!! So if you use them pick up a bottle of Gelous and layer it on before your topcoat!!!! BTW once I reach 50 followers and 100 likes on FB I am gonna be having a giveaway:) I have decided theme my giveaway with either "50 shades of grey" or "The Basics of Nail Care"  Which would you guys like to see more???

Eel Skin...........Wait WHAT!!!!!

Yesterday I heard from a little birdy that I could find Jordana Glitters at Kmart... of all places right! So I stopped by and I found a few, they were out of stock on most:( I did get "Cosmic", "LA City Nights", and "Magenta Magic"!!! I also found Sinful Colors "Cinderella" (I have been hunting this one DOWN!) and Sally Hanson Complete Manicure in "Eel Skin" on Clearance for $2.12!!! What a steal!!!! I just had to try out "Eel Skin" a beautiful creamy gray, and just to spice it up I did an accent nail in Sinful Colors "Unicorn" with some "Eel Skin" Dots. Hope you all have a great weekend!!!!! and BTW yesterday made 1 month since I started my blog:)

I'm all Ears!!!

So last week I went and got a couple of the new OPI Minnie Mouse collection  and today I'm wearing "I'm All Ears".  This is such a beautiful Hot Pink/Red with lots of shimmer:) Only complaint I have with this polish is it is sheer almost like a jelly but not quite. I really like this color and it reminds me of Zoya "Kimber" which I love.  The main difference between them is "Kimber" shimmer is more of a gold, and "I'm all Ears" shimmer is more purple. I used Cheeky plate CH15 for my accent nail, stamping with Konad "White".  I'm thinking a giveaway is in the near future, so let me know what kind of prizes you guys want. I'm thinking maybe a theme;) After looking at these pics I realize that this polish also photographs really red instead of the pink it is:)

Try it on Tuesday:)

Welcome to the first ever Try It On Tuesday! TIOT is where a group of bloggers and I are going to challenge ourselves to try out a nail polish every Tuesday that we already own but have never tried out. So for my first "Try it on Tuesday" I tried a combo:) I have had this beautiful dual chrome/iridescent  by Sinful Colors  "Let Me Go", for months and had never even touched it. It was super sheer when I swatched it and didn't really light my fire... Well tonight I layered it over Wet and Wild Megalast "On a Trip", and I'm in LOVE!!! Purple and green  and blue hues in this are beautiful, and make the polish really stand out.

I got an A in Gradient!!!!

So last night I made my second attempt at a gradient and must say I think I've got it!!!! I used Color Club "Worth the Risque" a silver holo, as the base. The gradient I matched is Color Club "Revvvolution" a dark gray holo. I LOVE IT!!!! The only complaint that I have is that I smashed my fingers today and chipped the polish so I don't have any outside sunny pics:(  I will be doing this mani again though!!!! Now I know there are a lot of methods to doing a gradient, I used a makeup sponge for this:)

Pastel Tips... Pinterest inspired

This mani was totally Pinterest inspired!!! This was one of the first mani's I saw on pinterest that I loved!!! Anyway the base nude color I used for this is Essie "Sand Tropez". I also used Sally Hansen "No Hard feelings" (Purple), Essie " Turquoise and Caicos" (Green), Essie "Bikini so Teeny" (Blue), Sally Hansen Salon Manicure "I Pink I Can" (Pink), and Sinful Colors "Unicorn" (Yellow).  I started by painting the based coat and then once that was dry I taped off the tips and painted the other colors:) I still feel like this mani needs something but can't quite put my finger on it. If you have any suggestions let me know:) Happy Weekend!!!!

Lights, Camera, Action!!!! & Nail Mail

I was soo excited when I got home to find nail mail:) I have been excited about this all week my Zoya pinterest trio:) but alas I opened it to find 2 Kimbers and a Reagan (I feel a giveaway coming on)!!! But I called customer service and I must say they rock!!!! Told them what I got and they are shipping me the right ones out and told me to keep the others at no cost:)!!!! How cool is that:) Any whooo  for today's mani I am wearing Essie "Camera"  with an accent nail in Color Club "Sugar Plum Fairy".  I Love, Love, Love this color but it is really sheer. I am wearing 3 coats and I still have some see throught :( I'll have to put a white base on next time!!! Hope everyone has a great Friday!!!!

Bikini so teeny:)

So yesterday I went for a nail polish haul:) I got the OPI Spiderman collection (not impressed with the formula), Two of the OPI Minnie Mouse collection and several Essie:) I am a happy Polished girl right now and My Zoya mini's will be in hopefully today too:) So for this mani I was playing with some of my new polishes and wanted to do a color block but ran out of time so I dotted it up instead:) I used Essie "Bikini So Teeny" as my base a perfect periwinkle blue:) for the Dots I use Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White on", Essie "Camera" & "Action" from the poppyrazzi collection. I really wished the Essie formula wasn't so sheer so the colors would POP more:) I have so many ideas floating around right now. Can't wait to show you guys:) Sorry about the crappy pics my camera battery died so we get stuck with phone pics for now:(

So not an Orange!!!

I have had this beauty in my stash for a while, but I am so not an orange girl. Last night I thought to my self YOLO... JK I hate that saying, I thought why not if I hate it I can always take it off!!!. Saying that I am still not an Orange Girl!!!! Even though I LOVE this color and I may do something with it for Halloween, It is not a good color for me!!!! Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Crushed" a dark almost red pearl orange. For a bonus I added glitter tips in Color Club "Gingerbread" :) Now that said I am not really a gold girl either, so it may be one color or both colors that turn me off of the mani... AHHH but on a better note gonna try something new tonight so stay tuned!!!!

Not what I expected...

This mani is so not what I expected... It's better:) I had my hubby pic the colors for tonight's mani and he picked two gems from Klean Colors Metallic Line:) I used Klean Color "Metallic Magenta" and "Metallic Green".  I used the Cheeky stamping plate CH8 which had a houndstooth design:) but the real magic happened when I put the top coat on!!!! The green turned to a beautiful burnt red and It looks fabulous!!! My hubby said "It's like ghost flames".  Just a quick FYI all of Klean Colors Metallic line are great for stamping!!! Let me know what you ladies think!!!!

What a Teal!!!!

Okay now for the fun stuff!!! Figured I would put up my latest mani before I destroy it working in the yard today:)  Also thinking I may do a water marble this afternoon:) If only I could figure out how to do one on my feet!!!:) For this mani I used China Glaze "Turned up Turquoise" as the base:) I used striping tape and Color Club's "Worth the Risque" for the stripes. Followed with Color Club's "Beyond the Mistletoe" over the silver for a glitter flash:)  Oh, and make sure to check out the giveaway page!!! I have added a ton this week:P

At Home...

So I am at home today with my sick little boy and while he naps I figured I'll do a mani that I have been wanting to do but knew that it was gonna take a little time:) so for the Pink here I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in "I Pink I Can" and the blue is China Glaze "For Audrey" accented with Gold Striping tape:) all followed with a coat of Gelous and a coat of SV:) Gelous is a top coat that I found at Sally's  that is great for glitters that "eat" top coats and striping tape:) I really like the way this turned out:) Oh and a big Happy Birthday to my Hubby ♥ U babe:)

Striping tape and Dotted fun:)

So I just finished this mani and I am in LOVE♥♥♥!!! I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in "Coral Reef". For the details I used silver striping tape and Essie's "Matte about You" and of course SV. Lets just hope I can keep the striping tape from snagging cause I really wanna keep this for a few days:)

Eye Opening:)

So last night I decided to try my hand at gradients... I will just say it was a eye opening experience:)  I have not given up in fact I am now determined to figure this thing out:) So here is my first attempt at gradient.  For this I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Mint Sorbet" a beautiful light green, and for the Gradient I used Color Club "Worth the Risque" a silver holo. I like the effect. I just think I need a bigger contrast in the colors:)

I gotta wear Shades!!!!

This is soooo Bright I gotta wear Shades:) This is NEON Pink is Sinful Colors "Pink" from the neon collection!!! This color is not really pink to me, more like a neon red:) The White is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On"!!!  Ooooh and a little FYI on all neon colors, use a base like white to make it pop it, because all neon's are a little sheer:)
