Barielle Gives Us Gentle Breeze

Happy Thursday Dolls:) Is it cold enough for you yet? It's been super cold here but only flurries so far, nothing like what the Northeast has gotten! Today I have for you Barielle's Gentle Breeze collection! This 5 Polish collection is full of bright pastel polish that are perfect for spring!
*press sample*
First up is Champagne Bubbles, A creamy pastel tangerine color! The formula on this polish was great, all though the color was not my favorite a little too muted for my taste:( But on the right skin tone this could be AMAZING!!! Here is 2 coats with no top coat:)

Next up is Pink Parasol, this beauty is a bright bubblegum pink! Not quite neon but not muted either:) I Love this color, but then again Pink is my favorite!!!! Formula was fabulous, 2 coats no top coat!

Heaven Sent is a beautiful Robin's Egg blue! Think a blue version of China Glaze For Audrey (one of my faves:) Totally gorgeous and will definitely be the base for some nail art! Two coats no top coat.

Under the Sea is a medium bluish green polish with a beautiful shimmer. You know like that crayon you always reached for as a kid:) This is the one polish in the collection that I just knew I would love, but surprisingly not really. Something about the color just didn't look right with my skin tone, but it was beautiful nonetheless. 2 coats no top coat, and it has a slightly matted finish, not totally matte but not a gloss either:)

Gray sky is the last in this collection today. A medium/light gray with a silver shimmer that is super pretty. This polish is the epitome of its name, reminds me perfectly of a winter gray sky:) 2 coats no top coat!

So what did you think of this collection? I definitely have my favorites of this collection, but as a whole I think it awesome! This collection is available now on Barielle.com:)

Unconventional Color Combo:)

TGIF!!! Who is ready for the Weekend:) ME!!!! It has been crazy busy this week, with the kiddo out of school Mon, Tues, and Wed. having a seven yr old and 5mth old in the house is exhausting, add in 3 dogs and a cat = one tired momma!!!  I saw a mani on pinterest the other day with a super pastel purple with and accent of penny talk by Essie and got inspired:) I haven't used penny talk in such a long time I figured I would break it out!!! I didn't wanna go with a pale purple, I wanted something unusual:) I grabbed Zoya Blu, one of my favorite pale blues even if it does take 3 coats to not be streaky... and then added some pointy accents with Penny Talk and tape!!!!

I really do love this unconventional color combo!!! It is different, edgy, but delicate all the same!!! and did I mention easy:) What are your favorite unusual color combos???? Hope you Dolls have a fabulous and relaxing weekend!!!!

Heart Breaker

Happy Tuesday Dolls!!!! Today I had decided to try nail strips for the first time!!! I know these things have been out for a while, but I really like polish and I figure why mess with a good thing:) Plus application seemed like it would be a pain!!! But I was at Walgreens over the weekend, and these beauties were on clearance for less than $3:) Instead of doing a full many I just decided to do a accent nail just because I wasn't sure how well they were going to wear and or how I was going to like them:) I used Black by Salon Perfect as my base, and then I used Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in Heart Breaker on my ring finger:) I wanted to added a little accent to my thumb so I cut out a little heart and smacked it on!! Application was super super easy!!! Way easier than I expected except for the little hearts those were kind of pain in the butt:)

So what do you think of nail strips??? I think they're cute and I would definitely use them again however for $10 for the set is a little pricey, but if I catch them on sale again I'll pick some more up!!!

Tried and True Bright Blue:)

Happy Monday!!! Oh Man what a couple of weeks it has been... I have been sick and I just can't seem to shake it:( Don't think it is the Flu, thank goodness, but I have been pretty miserable!!! I finally painted my nails today and needed something bright!!! I went with a tried and true blue, Sunday Funday by China Glaze!!! I added some blue Glequins to my cuticle line, just to add something extra!!! I absolutely adore simple manis like this:) Don't get me wrong I love intricate nail art too, but sometimes simple is best!!!

What's your favorite simple or intricate manis??? And what color do you wear to brighten your mood???

My First Makeup post:)

Happy Monday Dolls!!! I hope you all have a fabulous Holiday!!!! Today I am branching into unknown territory of Blogging... Makeup:) I have been contemplating diving into makeup on the blog for a while. As the new year starts I figured why not :)

Today I have NYX soft matte lip cream in Monte Carlo! In the tube this stuff looks like its going to be a deep blood red, but on the lip it's more of a berry red! This color has a slight blue undertone which looks great with my pale skin!!! It is super creamy but with a slight powdery feel (I'm guessing for the matte finish) when you put it on. Downside it does tend to get flaky after about an hour on
:( and then you have to wipe it off and reapply or it gets a little clumpy, which sucks!

I picked this up at Ulta for $5.99, definitely a good deal!!!  I LOVE red lips and the fact that this is matte gives a slight twist to a classic!!!

2015...

Wow what a year 2014 was:) It had it High points and Low points but it was definitely a ride!!! I figured I would take the first post of the new year to give you guys an update on my life, and some changes coming to Pinked Polish!

Well, where to start... I have been suffering from a bit of Holiday Depression:( I haven't even painted my nails in 2 weeks:( Add on top of that, sinus crap and a teething baby and there you go... I usually Love Christmas time but for some reason this year I just couldn't get into the spirit, I was really missing my mom (she passed away 8 years ago), and just struggling emotionally.

On a positive note I have hit a personal goal of EBF (exclusively breast feeding) my princess since birth, almost 5mths and still going strong!!! I have also successfully made my first quilt (my hubby's Christmas gift)!!!

On Changes to Pinked Polish, I have decided I want to bring in some make up and skin care posts every now and then:) PP will still be predominantly POLISH, but I feel like I need to change things up a bit!!! I will also be blogging about things that are important to me, such as: my kids, my hubby, my faith, and topics that just strike a nerve. I will try not to offend anyone, but then again everyone is entitled to their own opinion and everything I write will be just that, MY OPINION.

Now lastly My New Year Resolutions:
To focus on the relationships most important to me, by giving them my time and undivided attention.
To post to my blog with more regularity.
To love without borders.

That all Dolls!!! Happy New Year!!!!
